Erm... um... hello!

This is something I did for my Art Appreciation class (the only instance in which we actually had the opportunity to draw/paint/create something).

It was part of our presentation on a chosen artist, and had to be done in his/her style, or something to that effect. I chose Salvador Dalí, and did this before I had studied myself into oblivion making sure I knew all the sordid details of his life and art. Thus, it wasn't exactly Dalinian, but I'm no Dalí. ;) (he would have sniffed at this in disdain)

However, I was acquainted with one quote of his at the time, something about his two driving forces being death and libido. I was like, eh, let's go with death/time.

Everything's supposed to mean something (the figure on the left has 12 hands, but most of them got all funked up), but that didn't work out very well.

Ugh, the shadows cast by the cypress trees.

Criticism loved!

EDIT: Oh, yeah, sorry about the quality. I don't have a scanner, so it's just a pooey photo.

I think it's terrible...it's terrible that some people have no drawing talent whatsoever while some like you can just go and draw something beautiful like this:) I'm totally jealous...;)

>>> Dont give up trancekuja, the people who is good at drawing is because they work hard and pratice a lot for it. Talent may help a little but is just a very small part of all this.

Fabulous stuff. I think more of the rays would make it even more intense :o

Good work!!;) But the shadow of the muscle is a little bit off, also you should add more dark shadow at the bottom because the light comes from the right top corner.

About the meaning, no need to worry too much about it though. People can see many different meanings in the same picture. When my teacher asked me to interpret something, I just came up randomly with a mixed up answer and everyone agreed with me including my teacher which I felt so funny...:D

Keep on working!

That is a great drawing. I wish I blessed with my hands like you are, but that's just how things go.
