After Kishi changed my avatar I went to upload the 80x80 version that I thought I uploaded the first time. I double checked the demensions before I uploaded so I know for sure that the image is 80x80 on my computer, but when I upload it, it grows to 100x100 D:

WHAT DO I DO?

Send a PM to Kishi that says, "NAH, NAH, NAH, NAH, NAH, NAH!"

It's some kind of demon file. I just saved it as a png and re-uploaded it. Problem solved, whatever it was.

I looked at the image with a hexviewer and it claims it's 0x50 by 0x50 (80x80). weird. saving this file directly from firefox makes it come up as an 80x80 when I open it.

Looking at the sauce code of this thread, it looks like vBulletin is actually inserting code into the HTML img tag to resize the image. Very odd.

Aha, when I remove the chunk

00 00 00 09 76 70 41 67 00 00 00 64 00 00 00 64
00 87 26 5E E6
from the file, it stops resizing it. It did not do that when I removed the gama, srbg, chrm, phys chunks. *plays some more*

the chunk is 9 bytes long, and its flag is [dec] 118 113 65 103. I don't know what that is used for. . .

[edit- Bam, I think I got it. that chunk is "vPag", or virtual page which is something imagemagick (server image manipulation package) responds to. The image you have dear has it set to [hex] 64, or a height/width of 100. ]

So what you're saying is that she's a <i>witch</i>, and we should burn her?

So when do we get to burn someone?

rubah

never!

It's not really good for anything mondachan. You have to use an avatar that is already within the limits; all you do is blow it up really big (so it looks bad)

You were hex editing, rubah? That's grounds for scoring techy/nerd points. :p

So how did this happen

It didn't do that when I was using it when the limits were first raised...it's the same file and I haven't touched it!

D:

EDIT:

It originally was a 100x100 image, then when the limits were raised I shrunk it to 80x80 with paint, if that helps...

Paint must suck at resizing images.
