I know that this is a weird question, but have you noticed that in every RPG, including all Final Fantasies, the characters never change their clothes? After a long, hard quest with tons of battles, those characters can really stink! At the end of the game, the hero's body odor will be so bad that if someone came face to face with him or her, they would get dizzy and faint from the horrible smell. How can we fix this problem?

Cloud taught me hygiene is another one of the government's lies. I wouldn't have it any other way.

They never need to go to the bathroom, either. That's why I say all RPG characters are full of ****.

Yeah, I know that was bad.

Have you ever watched The Simpsons?! They wear the same clothes for like 20 years.

Characters do change clothes or should I say armor. Unfortunately , the games don't seem to notice that:)
But we still like those stinkers anyway

Have you ever seen those cartoons or television shows where once character has a closet full of the same exact clothes? That is basically how it works. Showers, bathroom breaks and change of clothes are all assumed action that take place off screen unless it has plot significance or an amusing quality.

I thought this thread was going to be about BO that is exhibited by RPG players who marathon-play and never shower. :x

yeah I think that's right. I think in VII Barret was in the bathroom doing something and then you always find somebody in a bathroom in that game. I thought they were going to add a shower scene too.

Third, also.

Ramza Beoulve changed his clothes two times over a few years.

In Mass Effect, you have super advanced space astronaut suits that you can probably poo poo and pee pee in... Plus they change suits frequently, because you probably can't poo poo and pee pee in them. Although I assume they do, and thus have to change suits.

Sure, they can wash at an inn, but if you still insist on sending them powerlevelling for god knows how many hours...

I'd assume all the airships are snazzy and cozy with bathrooms and stuff, you know...

The only RPGs I've played in which a character changed his clothes are Cecil in FFIV (that doesn't really count though) and Capell halfway through Infinite Undiscovery, and that doesn't count either because he wore the same armour Sigmund was wearing.

I wonder what deodorants those characters use...

Dignified Pauper

It clearly contains proven preservatives, deep penetration agents, and gas and odor control chemicals that will deodorize and preserve putrid tissue.

I think a "Give Barret A Spongebath" minigame is the biggest missed opportunity in gaming.

Well now, a fictional deodorant... Apparently, fictional deodorants are much stronger than deodorants in reality... Wonder what the names for those deodorants are...
