Favorite Non-Human Character In an FF!

Simple question, who is your favorite non-human character to grace an FF title? Often we overlook these characters but many times they bring a depth of information concerning the world and culture that we embark in, granted their role 9 out of 10 times is bench warming but we still salute their efforts in some form or other.

So who's your favorite and what are your thoughts on Non-human characters in FFs or RPGs in general.

Fran, but don't the Veira consider her as good as Hume, sure she's got the ears, the look and the mist allergy but the rest of her is pretty Hume-ish.
anyway i like her best out of that lot, she can kick ass and then faint like a damsel, she makes sarcy comments, ya know shes only in it for the fun of it and too help out Balthier, so shes loyal, an props to anyone who can ride around on the front of an overly phallic motorbike and not bat an eyelid

Red XIII is cool. I think he's probably the worst playable person in battles, but as a character he's great. Cait Sith is just a walking plot hole so he's out of the running. Mog and Umaro didn't have much personailty to them...

...so I'm going for Quina. S/he was hilarious.

Out of the characters in that poll I'd've picked Zell, but since he is a human I'll go with Cait Sith. Fran is pretty cool, too.

It was a toss-up between Red XIII and Fran, but eventually I voted for Red because he's just awesome.:D

Freya was cool, had a great past, nice red mage outfit, and powerful in battle especially early on.

I voted Red XIII.

I have always liked him and his story, its nice subplot in VII. And since Cloud has no daddy issues like many other FF main character its up to Red have special daddy.

I also like Cait Sith ( I like cats), Freya ( she is good character but her story doesn´t gets enough screen time plus red mage outfit is a awesome), Fran is also cool. Ba´Gamnan is my favorites too and one thing I like most about him that he never comes good guy despite you would think that happens in Revenant Wings.

Well yeah it doesn't matter who you use as the game is so easy! But Red's best limit isn't as damaging as Barret's, Yuffie's or Cid's and not as useful as Aeris', I even think Cait Sith has better limits, early on at least. His weapons, bar 1, are short range unlike Vincent, Yuffie and Barret and none of them are as useful as Tifa's Powersoul or the one you get from the Shinra HQ (forgot the name).

Like I said it doesn't really matter who you choose and he is a great character with a moving backstory. I like Quina more for it's comedic value.

I have to say that I am really surprised Quina is winning! I thought Red or Fran would get the most votes, or maybe Mog (who has none!). FF IX seems to win every poll, I always thought it was an underrated game, apparently not!
