None. Western developers make JRPG-esk games for PC every so often though. Try Septerra Core and Anachronox or something.

Correct the first time. Basically you have Eastern/Japanese RPGs such as Final Fantasy in comparison to Western RPG's such as Fallout 3.

Nothing I'm aware of unless you count MMOs, but they're a sui generis so I don't think one would :p

There are no PC JRPGs. PCs scare Japanese peoples.

If I could understand Japanese, I totally would. :(

I'll look into Septerra Core, although it wasn't released in the 2000's. :p

Some Final Fantasy games have popped up on the PC, I know. But of course, those were ports, not full games made specifically for the PC.

I know - I've owned them both (and the original console games) at some point. But I'm talking about things more recent than them. Although that's the kind of game I love (obviously, being an EoFFer).

Some company said something about wanting one of their games ported to PC... it was either Mistwalker or Square and either Lost Oddyssey or Infinite Undiscovery.

It was a few weeks back that the rumor was thrown around... I think. I cba to look up more on it. I could be pulling this all out of my butt. Still, if devs make a game for 360, it's not like it's a huge leap to port it to PC.

edit: Okay, I arsed myself. It's The Last Remnant. Coming out with GFWL in the Spring sometime.

Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online - Free Fantasy MMORPG at Aeria Games (http://megaten.aeriagames.com/)

Hsu's right about Last Remnant, they intend to put that on the PC. In general though, the Japanese PC RPG market is dominated by porn games, so I wouldn't hope for much more than a couple more MMOs to come out of Japan. All the JRPGs come out for the consoles/handhelds.

CRPG'ers have very negative and elitistic views of Console RPG's. Which is a shame, because they both have their strengths and weaknesses and are both a blast to play.

Can't stress Septerra Core enough.

Grandia 2 is on PC, but I don't know if I should recommend it. Too much damned talking xD But it's pretty fun outside that.

CRPG'ers are negative about every RPG that isn't Fallout or Planescape: Torment.

I have Grandia 2 on PS2. :D I don't really feel like playing GW so much since I'm not into MMO's - the main reason I play RPG's isn't for the battles, it's for the solid storylines. Interaction online is neat and all but all the MMO's I played with other people were basically just me chatting while they clicked around. xD Maybe later, though. I still consider MMO's from time to time. Just not right now.

I'm gonna have to suck it up and buy Lost Odyssey, probably. I have a £20 HMV voucher so yay for that. Pity the HMV's over here don't have DQVIII 'cause I've heard many a good thing about it and I was keen.

I do enjoy both those games, but I also enjoy both types of RPGs. Heck, let's not be RPGist here, all RPG's are created equal. Except the one's that suck, they can gdiaf.
