So, what odd combinations of foods and/or spices turned out to be better then you thought?

I just realized Beef Ravioli tastes rather good if you add sugar. XD

I would have found pizza plus ranch to be gross about ten years ago. It's just <3, really.

I have ketchup mixed with mayonnaise on everything. I think chips with curry sauce, gravy and ketchup is amazing. I can't really think of any weird foods mixed together.

Someone in some other thread mentioned peanut butter with apples. Maybe that's common? I never thought of it before and figured it would be gross. But it was actually pretty good. I totally patted myself on the back for being super adventurous when I ate it.

Braunschweiger with cream cheese isn't as disgusting as it sounds.

Ok next time you have chips and salsa, mix some mayo into the salsa...pure win.
Also, microwave peanut butter (with a little bit of butter) next time you have popcorn. Pour the mixture over the crunchy, fluffy goodness, and now its even better :)

People always use pizza and ice cream as a classic example of good + good = bad, but I like it =^_^=

People frequently mix their corn and mashed potatoes. I thought it was a little weird at first, but after trying it I do it every chance I get. Tastes much better

French fries and soy sauce + wasabe.

When my sushi rolls were gone I still had the sauce left and my kids were done with their fries. So I dipped one fry in the leftover sauce and got addicted to it. Now I always buy fries with sushi :p

I used to also think that ranch plus pizza was not a good combination but it's just right.

In addition, I've found out that if you put Tapatio (hot sause) on any food it instantly makes it better.

Sliced apple on toasted bread. I also put ice cream on my burgers from fast food joints now, it's not half bad.

Yes, but it was disturbing to watch....
And yea, I am that bored that I am posting :O

I don't eat much weird stuff, apart from tuna sandwiches loaded with heaps of mayo and a few slices of processed cheese.
That said, my brother loves his bacon topped with maple syrup...

Hmm, dark bread with Nutella. The sweetnes from Nutella and the sourness from the bread is just a super-duper combi. Of course it has to be be the right dark bread. Not just anything'll do.

People say if you dash a little salt on certain sweet things it brings out the flavour.

THEY ARE LYING, IT TASTES TERRIBLE!

I guess thats off topic though. I usually have a good idea of what will and wont taste good so im not easily surprised when something does taste good.

Toasted peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. I first thought my father was insane when he made one, but then I tried one, and it was great, same with pickle sandwiches.

Peanut butter and jelly just mixed in a bowl.
Mustard and Ketchup alone on bread.

I don't eat much of that yummy stuff anymore though.
