I read that Johnny Depp was cast as Mad Hatter, but I don't know whether this image is really him, and I didn't find any other images. I imagined that Tim Burton's version of Mad Hatter would like like this, though.
Oh, Burton.

I'm pretty sure this is real. I'm not a fan of the make-up though.

I'm quite a fan of Martin Short's interpretation of the Mad Hatter (1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vwi9Yn2aF4&feature=related), 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZmktVFsCXE&feature=related)). I'm curious to see what Depp makes of it.

Looks like this ridiculous idea is well on its way to turning out exactly as I imagined. What a joke.

I will watch anything that has Depp in it. Although I would prefer Dark Shadows to Alice. Maybe I'll get to see both. :cat:

Can't agree with you there...I think he's a great director and with his demented imagination he makes pretty unique movies. Something quite different to what you're accustomed to...

I heard they're also looking at Depp for the role of the Riddler in the next Batman.

Ehh, sao they're going to make it another pretty/gothic/deeply emotional and zomgsymbolic thing? No thanks.

Unless you've seen more than one of his movies, because they all tend to turn out the same. Wild, demented and freaky. Except Big Fish, which was decent and amusing.

I'm a skeptic in this case. Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorite childhood stories, but Tim Burton's notorious for being twisted. I dunno if this will improve or absolutely ruin the story in my eyes. >_>

Seriously.
I wonder if Helena Bonham Carter is gonna show up in this too.
Getting kinda bored with Burton's whole shtick.

I don't think there is anything wrong with working with a team of people you can trust. It's just like any work place, if you have to build a team for a certain project, you're immediatly going to choose the people you know you work well with.

Yeah but you don't have to do exactly the same thing with them each and every time.
