I regularly prune my PMs. I currently have no PMs in my inbox and a total of 12 PMs stored in other folders. PMs are like email and should be cleaned regularly, the clutter makes you stressed out. :p

As for the topic... let's just say I PM waaay more than I post these days. At the moment, I got: "886 messages stored, of a total 1,024 allowed" ...and I've reachd the 950-mark (which is when I usually start cleaning up) a whole damn lot of times. I'm sure I've recived over 20.000 PMs total since I joined, though as of late, even my PM activity has slowed down a bit because of various reasons.

Because it allows me to contact other members of the forum in a private manner. This is particularly useful when I am unable to use a chat system to contact these members.
