What were your thoughts on it? I think it was a very Solid Horror film, I was shaking halfway through... until I was pulled into the dread and just watched in awe-panic :(!

- Adored the Soundtrack (Laura Plays the Piano <33 and tonnnnnnes of others!)

- I didn't like how Pyramid Head was involved, just shouldn't have been.

- The final horrific scene goes a bit too far imo (and they Kill Cyb' ... but more on the too far with the whole, too far-ness of it, I don't want to mention it, but y'know what I'm saying? blooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood~~~).

Otherwise, struggled to get to sleep, plan to watch it again!

Watched with an ex, he held me the whole time cause I was shaking. I hate scary movies! But it was still good, just kinda gory... like when Pyramid Head rips that person apart wtfff. Haha, but interesting premise and I love silent hill... just scares the :skull::skull::skull::skull: out of me.

I really liked it. I especially enjoyed that they incorporated so much music from the actual franchise into it. I also disliked the fact that Pyramid Head was present, but you couldn't really make a SH movie without him, imho. Plus, his scene with the church and the tearing of the skin and all was so gorey and wonderful. The whole thing sort of reminded me of SH1 bashed into SH2 along with some random generic SH crap.

The scene you're talking about "with the too far-ness of it all," I thought was done rather tastefully. Or rather, as tastefully as something like that could be done. In reality there is no "couth" way to do something like that >_> I remember watching that and going "They wouldn't. Noooooo way. Noooo, those barbed wires aren't going where I think they're going. Maybe they're just gonna wrap around her or something. There's no WAY they would do that. Oh my god they're doing it. Oh my god. Oooooooooooooooh my god. They actually did that."

The ending was pretty crap, and some of the CG work was just bad (like the ash babies), but overall it was a pretty solid translation. Definitely creepy throughout the majority of it, which is exactly what the SH movie needed to be.

I'd like for more news to come out on a sequel, as I think they could really do a lot more with the premise, but I don't think much has been said of it for a while.

It was alright. I think I might have preferred it if it had stuck more closely to the original story (i.e. I would have liked no witches, a crazy Dahlia, no pyramid head, HARRY MASON), but what can you do.

I really liked the set, though! Great detail. Gore was kinda funny, too.

I didn't like the ending but overall it wasn't bad.

It was great until the point they get to the church. Everything before that was a solid adaptation of the mood and atmosphere of the games. Everything after was a complete mess. Except the scene you say went too far though. That was just plain hilarious.

I felt the Nurses scene was extremely well choreographed and presented xD!

I loved the ending. It wasn't the cliche happy ending found in most films today.

Looks gorgeous and atmospheric, the actors were well cast, it's just the story at the start and end made me cringe. Rose is in idiot horror-movie-mom mode until they actually get to Silent Hill, after which she acts like a sane, sensible person. And I know the director was a fan of Overfiend, but the gore at the climax was gratuitous (although there are equally gory scenes in SH5).

The middle sections were absolutely brilliant though. Agreed about the music, especially with the use of Wounded Warsong and Ring of Fire.

Watch the extras on Youtube or with the DVD. Really amazing sets and creature effects. Also the director imitating Jodelle is priceless. "Oh, I always wanted to play the devil." :radred:

I like how Rose gags over some guy dead in barb wire but hardly flinches when some chick gets her skin ripped from her and thrown at Rose...

I think there was somre really cool creativity in the gore and the atmosphere, and a lot of potential in the script. However, it actually falls incredibly short in the script, the acting and the ending. Even Sean Bean couldn't save his section of the script, and that's saying something.

I really liked the movie it had good music and i really liked the enviroment. I also really liked the little girl in the move. I thought it was cool the way she played a sweet inocent girl then played A demon(devil) just as convincingly

I'm not a very big horror fan, at least of the thrasher movies, because they don't really scare me, and since that's the point most times, it doesn't make too good of a movie after the fact.

Silent Hill, I thought was pretty good though, being that it scared me a bit, or brought up memories of me as a kid playing the game. The ending wasn't too great but overall a pretty good movie.
