My sister borrowed the graphic novel adaptation from her school chum~ I was very impressed upon reading it. I don't know very much about Gaiman (I've read Neverwhere, seen MirrorMask, and read his short story Snow, Glass, and Apples), but I've yet to be disappointed by anything he's produced.
I sort of wanted a little more information on the beldam, though ... although the ambiguity also works.
THOUGHTS?~ Has anyone seen the film?

It was an enjoyable film, I haven't read the graphic novel though.

Meh, I'm going to have to pass on the novel and film. It doesn't look like my cup of tea, or lemonade, or root beer, or...you get my point.

I'll see it soon, because Gaiman is awesome.
@ Moon Rabbits, American Gods. Now. The Sandman is also fairly essential, although I haven't read the whole thing yet.

It plays like a Grimm story, I mean before they got sanitized. Which is fine by me. It's scarier than James and Nightmare though.
Here's (http://www.onpointradio.org/shows/2009/02/coraline/) a good interview with the director.
Movie was fuckin' awesome.

I read the book a couple years ago and enjoyed it, but for some reason I am lacking any sort of desire to go see the movie. I guess once was enough. :P You should definitely read more Gaiman though. =) Novels, anyways. Personally, I haven't found his short stories very interesting. =/

Really? I really enjoyed Snow, Glass, and Apples. I thought it was rather disturbing.

Stu and I saw it last night. it was my first 3d film so I was very excited about that xD I loved the whimsical touches Laika added because they were just perfectly in step with the rest of the story.

It was a very enjoyable film. Most of you will enjoy it.
I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I'm going to see it next week with the girl I like. Fingers crossed on it being a good movie and, well, everything else.

heh I slept with the girl I saw the movie with. I'm not saying there's a causal correlation but just in case...

I've seen it twice now. I love it. It's as good as the book.
Someone mentioned a graphic novel version of the book? Hm. I need to look into that. The original is a regular book.
