Doom Gaze

I can't find him anymore D:

I tried flying in circles forever and ever, and that didn't work. I was told that he's in a fixed location every time. Can this location be absolutely anywhere in the world map, or are there just a few places that he randomly picks?

It's a random location which stays fixed between each encounter. The best way to find him is to face the airship straight north, tilt it either left or right by a degree, and then keep moving in exactly that direction until you run into him.

Yeah use the degree trick to cover the whole map each run. I've heard of people doing this and still land no Doom Gaze. If it don't get out of the ship fight or enter a town and try again.

Yeah, there's no easy solution for this one, just hold down the button and read a book.

Goodness. I've heard some horror stories about people that weren't able to make Doom Gaze pop up despite ridiculously long periods of time. I guess I'm lucky in that every time I've gone through this game, I encountered him rather early, and always when I was prepared enough to kill him [I don't remember him being that hard either]. Doesn't he also have a chance of running away? It's been a long time since I've played this, and I guess I've forgotten some things.

I get him to pop up quite easy to. Although I've only played the game 3 times. I think after he gets half lifehe runs away. Someone told me you can vanish/doom but you won't get the esper.

And its always when you have gotten a new party together and forget to equip them.

First time I got to the WoR and got in the airship, he turned up almost immediately. Luckily I didn't die, because I had no idea I was going to be attacked.
