Well I just bout this new PC 5 days ago and havn't turned it off ever since, now today half way through watching something my computer goes crazy and starts bleeping at me like its a bomb and about to blow up... then gives me a blue screen with some stuff on it but its only on there so long before it resets my computer and as such am unable to read whatever it says. I turned it off for a while and am back here now and every now and again I hear a slow bleep, I have felt my CPU's heat sink and it cold, so it cant be a problem with my CPU overheating... any could tell me whats wrong with my new PC id be greatfull.

Maybe not CPU, but could be graphics card overheating instead :p

hmm... possibly, it is a very old GFX card, had it for 5 years now.

EDIT: do you know where I can buy a cheap replacement, dont really want to spend more then £50, if you can find a place that sells the X600 it would be great.

Old cards are probably less likely to overheat. However, a cold heatsink is no guarantee the CPU isn't overheating. If there is poor contact between the CPU and heatsink, the heat won't even get to the heatsink.

You should probably turn off automatic restart for when you get BSODs. You could also try running memtest86 and a hard disk diagnostics program

iv sorted it out, it turns out it was the gfx card after all, the fan has broken, so im useing intergrated gfx till me new card arrives.
