Have you ever hated a certain food or beverage, to find that you loved it later on?

I've been drinking hot tea a lot more lately, when I used to not like tea at all. Now I feel deprived if I don't have any before I go to bed at night.

EDIT: Turns out that this is the 18,000th thread currently in General Chat.

*throws confetti unenthusiastically* yay

I used to hate onions, but now I love them!

Weird, it's the other way around for me. I used to like onions, now I despise them unless they're unnoticeable. Onion powder is good on some things, I suppose...

Corn.

Turns out that it was more about how my dad was preparing it than my tastebuds. From can to microwave (WITH CAN WATER) to bowl (WITH CAN WATER) is disgusting. Brittany makes great corn on the cob. om nom

I LOVE pepper. Seriously. I'll add it to mac n cheese, homemade mashed potatoes, anything that it tastes good on <3

Also, dark chocolate. I used to despise it and now I LOVE it!

I like mushrooms now too, and dark chocolate, and man so many other things. I just refused to eat a lot of things when I was little xD

Taste buds usually dull as you get older.

But I use to dislike beer. Now it's part of my food pyramid.

The reverse happened to me and spicy food. I mean I never really liked it, but now I can't even eat it.

I'm jumping on the mushroom bandwagon. I used to not be able to stand how my dad put it on his pizza, but now we're fighting over the last slice.

I like cooked white onions. I can eat some amount of red onions if the taste isn't overwhelming (like this salad I just made).

I also can eat tomatoes now. Yay.

I hated coffee when I was younger, now that I am older I live off of it to keep me awake during all my classes.

I used to like cucumbers, but I don't anymore... and some other things that I can't remember. 8-)

I used to not like onions at all, and still don't like them when they're all huge and obnoxious, but they really do add some good flavor to food, especially meats.

When I was younger I didn't think I liked Chinese food despite having never tried it. Then I did try it and now I love it.
