So, alot of people keep recommending me to get Firefox, so I finally thought that it couldnt hurt to try it, but I dont want to get rid of IE though just incase, so are there any consequences to having both browsers on one system and/or using both at the same time?

Thanks.

No way. Very few people go through the rigamarole required to remove internet explorer, and it is in no way a requirement for using firefox.

So I can use them both normally without anything such as conflicts?

No conflicts whatsoever, go right ahead.

And since Internet Explorer is such an integral part of the Windows OS, you wouldn't want to mess with trying to remove it from your machine anyway. just use them both in tandem, realize that Firefox is superior, and go on with your life. :p

And if you still want to use IE for things, the least you could do is download IE8:
Internet Explorer 8: Home page (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx)

I use both of them at the same time whenever there's a mafia game going, and I have no problems at all.

I like using multiple profiles in firefox at the same time if I need to log in with different accounts on the same web site at the same time, but that's probably too complicated for most people :p
