View Full Version : Ways to raise Mediator's hit%

I'm playing back through FFT again, wishing (as ever) I could try out the remake on PSP but unwilling (as ever) to shell out THAT kind of cash for a single game - especially when I just got my Wii.

This time I'm trying to do things very differently, and just for fun, I'm making Ramza a Mediator (trying to keep him from being my uber-char this time). The one thing I can't figure out or find on any FAQs though is what stat (if any) increases the % for success for Invitation and Praise and the like?

If any of you know of any factors, be they character stats or status effects, which increase the chances for these abilities to be successful, could you please let me know?

MA raises the success percentage of mediator skills, although not that much. Each point of MA raises the chance by only 1%.

Other than that it's just zodiac signs.

Yeah, I actually noticed that about an hour after I posted. So nothing else helps, huh? Not sleep or stop?

Sleep actually makes Invitation 0%.

If you're trying to score JP, use Negotiate, which gets money. Very high sucess rate.

Ramza (and Luso) are good in this job, they can Shout, raising MA (among others)

For male characters you could always:

"[Face Up] - 500 JP, Bard
If you are targeted by any Faith-based magical attack, this
ability will increase your Faith by 3. It works Br% of the time."

It could make it very fast if you have 5 people casting on the character in question.

Face Up enhances the Faith of a character. MA Save increases MA by 1 when hit with a physical or magical attack. MA Save would be better for enhancing the effectiveness of Talk Skill because Face Up does nothing to affect the success rate of Talk Skill.
