It's not that much surprising to me, I've heard the same thing a while ago with a pizza robbery. It would have been different if the robbers didn't take the purse and the whole purpose was the chicken, since that would be stupid since you could probably get a lot of chickenwith whatever money you rob someone with. Since they were already robbing them for the purse, they mind as well take the chicken too.

I really wonder what would actually lead someone to hold someone up for chicken quicker than obtaining food for some other method. Of course, if he could drive a car, he probably could have gotten some food if he was paying for it. That's assuming that he didn't steal the car, though. Or the shotgun.
