Out of these games which do you think is the best couple?
For me its Tidus and Yuna, they just seem right for each other. Whereas:
Squall and Rinoa - i couldn't put up with him lol
Zidane and Garnet - i just don't like her, shes too moany
Cloud and Tifa - well never seem to get anywhere like a relationship!

What do you Think??

P.S. Tidus is spending too much time hugging with Wakka , so I think he may be using Yuna only to cover up his true feelings...:kiss:

Out of the choices given:

Cloud and Tifa - No real confirmation actually, I still find their relationship ridiculous considering Tifa hardly knew Cloud as a kid, yet still harps on about being childhood friends; and though Cloud has finally regained himself, he still spends his days moping and pining after a dead girl. Their are several elements that make the Cloud x Tifa x Aerith triangle interesting but the authors will forever keep fans guessing.

Squall and Rinoa - Never really cared for this pairing. I liked Squall better before he realized he was in love. Though I don't have the level of hatred for Rinoa that some fans do, I don't necessarily care for her or feel for her either. I never really interpreted the theme of "Love" in VIII as being about their relationship but rather about Squall learning to open up and love himself and others.

Zidane and Garnet - Probably my favorite of the selections if only because Zidane is a hopeless perv and womanizer. I don't particulary care for Garnet and I felt their relationship was pretty predictable. Still, it had better dialogue than all the others.

Tidus and Yuna - Once again, really predictable and downright forced at times. The few beautiful elements about their relationship is ruined by its sequel. This is easily the most sappy relationship in the whole series except for maybe Rosa and Cecil. It never felt real to me.

Of those, Garnet and Zidane, because the others were too forced and weak.

And Cloud and Tifa didn't really get any focus.

Though shame this isn't a true discussion on more interesting couples.

definately Cloud & Tifa, after playing the game, reading the short stories of "Way to a Smile" and watching the movie, it is very apparent that they need each other, they balance and complete each other...
as much as i love Squall & Rinoa, i just can't put their relationship above CxT though it does pull a close second...
the moment Garnet decided to call herself dagger i instantly hated her, why Dagger, that is so lame, and to top it all off she's a furry, so not even on the radar there...
as for Yuna & Tidus i loved them as a couple but sadly Tidus isn't too bright and totaly missed the part where she was planning to die untill it was almost too late, they don't necessarily need each other, but their love is strong enough that Yuna keeps looking for him after his dissapearance...

Cloud & Aerith didn't even have a chance from go, since it's Zack & Aerith and always has been... i love this couple as much as CxT...

Cloud doesn't seem to have much a relationship with Tifa even after VII and after the events of Advent Children, I don't really see a relationship there other than being good friends. Squall and Rinoa were just okay and a little forgettable. Zidane and Garnet would have to be my favorite since I'm such a nostalgic guy, but I do think that Tidus and Yuna had a connection that seemed right for each other.

Even if it was sappy and overdramatic, I still love Tidus and Yuna. I actually love all the couples because I am a hopeless romantic. So, to make this more interesting for myself I will mention some couples that I think are cute...
1. Tidus/Rikku (I do actually think this is canon, though heavily overshadowed by the later T/Y stuff).
2. Laguna/Raine
3. Quistis --> Squall
4. Balthier/Fran
5. Firion/Maria
6. Ingus/Sarah & Luneth/Refia (DS only)
7. The pregnant teens that Terra cares for.
8. Cid/Shera
9. Fratley/Freya
10. Vincent/Lucrecia

Though shame this isn't a true discussion on more interesting couples.

Of the poll options, Cloud and Tifa. It has so many dimensions, I love it. It seems the more 'real' one.

Even though I'm not a big fan of either character, I liked the whole Selphie and Irvine thing. I think they're cute together as they just seem so right for each other.

Dissidia seems to have gotten some people making some odd couplings. Cloud and Terra seem to be the most popular.

Personally, if one of the FF guys was going to be with the others, it would be Squall and Tidus. Both their relationships are pretty fake to begin with, so no worries about them crying for their girls. Lord knows, "Mr. Sunshine" makes for a good counter for "Soldier Boy". The best part will be how Squall treats him like trash and every time Tidus tries to object for how he's being treated, Squall will give him a bored look and tell him "Whatever" and then proceed to do erotic things to Tidus' tanned ass. It would be awesome, like an FF version of Gravitation. :cool:
Despite how much I hate Tidus, I would pay to watch this "FF version of Gravitation", because it sounds so cute. In fact maybe because of this post, I'll make a nice SquallxTidus artwork to go in my sig, since I need something FF-related for these forums anyways. My current sig is art I did of my RO character.

Let's hear it for SquallxTidus people.

Out of the four, I would say Squall and Rinoa. Now anyone that has read a few of my posts knows FF8 to be my least favorite, but the fact is that it's the most likely to really happen. Plus, Squall becomes her blade, her life protector, and eventually her liberator after she turns into Ultimecia and forgets her past.

Tidus and Yuna does not seem like real love at all, most like High School lust.

Tifa and Cloud could never happen with Cloud chasing after the ghost of Aerith in his dreams all the time.

Zidane and Dagger is beastiality, after all genome does not = human. Also, this form of love is unrealistic due to the whole Queen-Thief thing, it wouldn't really work out.

I would still say Vaan+Penelo is my favorite relationship, though.

Doesn't matter. The fact is that they love eachother anyways. And although he may not be human, he's humanoid [ie, too similar to a human to be considered an animal], which is generally enough [the same reason why people fall in love with werewolves, vampires, elves, etc.].

Says who? I don't see any basis for this statement. They clearly have desire for eachother, and the beginning of the game should be enough to explain that she's not some haughty-typical royalty type. The fact that she braves the journey with you throughout the entire game and overcomes her fears shows that she's not some helpless woman, and that she has spirit and a sense of adventure, just as Zidane does. It's a good match actually.

Besides, the title of queen means nothing in a relationship. Every couple no matter what will have its set of problems. I don't care how perfect/meant-for-eachother they are.

This is of course aside from the fact that Square basically established that them falling in love and being together [starting with his dramatic return to her and her joyous reaction of finally seeing him after all that time] is canon.

Sure, if the develop feeling for each other, I can see it happening, but I don't see them developing feelings very well, because it just seems unlikely and hard to grasp. I loved playing FFIX(Also known by anyone who reads my posts), and I loved the match up, but that one point is always what kept me from believing it. Also, the beastiality thing is just because I think that not all humanoids would be able to mate anyways. I mean, there's no real guarantee Zidane can mate in the first place, is there? Genomes weren't intended for that purpose initially, so would they be able to do it?

Hmm I guess Locke and Celes. Unlike many other FF couples they are not the obvious pair up as soon you meet them, it was Opera scene when I realized these two are going to be together. I also like the "nice boy falls in love with bad girl" althoug Celes ain´t not that bad.And it also helps that Locke is my favorite character.

Other good couples:
Edge and Rydia
Cid and Shera
Cid and Hilda
Cecil and Rosa
Yang and Yang wife

and Desh and Sarina deserve honorary mention. I mean c´mon, Desch just adventures around the world and doesn´t mind if he finds new girl and meanwhile Sarina is worried sick.

I think Locke + Celes and Squall + Rinoa had the best love scenes. Locke catching Celes when kefka's tower was falling apart, Squall catching Rinoa in space or when they kiss on the balcony. I didn't really like Squall and Rinoa as characters but they had really good scenes. I think every good relationship requires an epic grabbing scene.

Which is why Umaro grabbing and throwing Mog in battle is also pretty win.

I don´t know why but I always thought that Molulu ( she is the one who was previous owner of "no fights" relic) was Mogs girlfriend but I guess after she died Mog was really depressed and Umaro was there for him.
I never really thought about this, but do we even know Umaro's gender? Just wondering. o_o

You probably know what I'm gonna choose (and if not you don't know me). But I will always find Squall and Rinoa to be the best couple in FF, mostly because I find it the most realistically developed (Cloud and Tifa where the most realistically introuced) it takes it's time and doesn't feel too forced other than them not knowing each other too long from our POV (it is a media timeline) and that I really like the characters, they just seam perfect for each other, just really underated.

Zidane and Dagger. Squall and Rinoa came up close, their little tour in space was sweet. But Zidane and Dagger had some great times, like when Zidane accidently mentions a airship picnic he promised to another girl and all that stuff at Madain Sari. Priceless. All of it.
