I am running into nothing but Mesmerizes. Is there a specific area on Esthar where I can find Malboros more frequently? I'd like to get Doomtrain before I head off to outer space.

there's a little island called "island closest to heaven" its on the far east on the map. Go there and fight and hope to get a marlboro. You better have a good status def.

He's not able to access the Islands Closest To Heaven and Hell yet.

You can find Malboro's anywhere on the Esthar continent as far as I know, they're rare but they're there. There are places where they appear more frequently, but not that you can access yet.

Thanks for the help, guys, but I finally just gave up and went off to the moon, praying that all the while a moon rock would explode on the Mesmerizes' breeding grounds.

Try in the Grandidi forest which contains the Chocobo Sanctuary.

It's in North Esthar. Go there and you will find Malboro's. If not on the first or second battle, keep trying and you will find them.

Or go play Triple Triad and win some marlboro cards and modify them to be tentacles. Iceglow, giving you the simple soloution since 1985 ;)

LMAO...That's priceless...

As for the topic at hand, you'll only run into Malboros when you don't want to. Although, I never had any problems when I was doing my video walkthrough of it for YouTube.
