...the greatest Final Fantasy of all time, that's right folks, Eyes On Plays Final Fantasy VIII is here!

If you do well you too could become a first class member of the elite force, SeeD. So let's get started shall we?

First let's go over the basics shall we? As a trainee you will be required to prove your worth, this will be determined via a series of tests or “challenges”, for every challenge you complete you will gain a SeeD Rank (1 to A). In total there are 31 challenges available, complete all 31 and you will become an A Rank member of SeeD. Remember you don't have to complete all the challenges in order to sucSeeD in your goal, you just have to complete them all, and remember the most important rule, have fun and also annoy FF7 fanboi's.

So on to the challenges I hear you shout? I've listed them in below, starting with gameplay related challenges first, and then extra side missions later on. Screenshots are encouraged, we all like a good oogle at how everyone else is doing.

1. Rename Squall to a name of your choice and post a screenshot.
2. Complete the Dollet Mission and graduate with no less then a SeeD rank of 8.
3. Escape D-District Prison
4. Enjoy a kick-ass concert and don't end up beating up Rinoa for whining at you during it.
5. Complete “Lost in Space Episode”
6. Kursed SeeD, reach the castle on the last disk and re-collect the Ragnarok from it's hiding place.
7. Sing along to the ending video (please see karaoke thread in General Chat).
8. Defeat Ultimecia without using Limit Breaks
9. Complete Chocobo Side Quest
10. Encounter every monster in the game
11. Draw magic from every monster in the game
12. Collect every card
13. Become the Card King
14. Defeat Ultima Weapon
15. Defeat Omega Weapon
16. Defeat Omega Weapon without using Limit Breaks or GF's
17. Collect every GF in the game
18. Gain every Limit Break available to Quisitis
19. Gain SeeD Rank A in game WITHOUT using the written tests
20. Find the Escape Pod
21. Complete Obel Lake Mystery: The Three Stars Quest
22. Complete Obel Lake Mystery: Extra Treasure
23. Create a Journalist of the Future
24. Keep the peace in Fishermans Horizon
25. Collect all the Winhill Vase Fragments
26. Abolish the card rules in Triple Triad at least once
27. Become a true comic book fan and collect every magazine in the game
28. Complete the Laguna's Statute quest in the Shumi Village
29. Collect all the stones in the Shumi Village
30. Teach Angelo all of his new tricks
31. Cast Ultima on a T-Rexar.

It's been a really long time since I played but I don't recall ever finding a way to beat Omega Weapon without limit breaks.

I would imagine the strategy involves casting whatever doomtrain's debuff is called and then casting meteor. I also recall something that lets you cast more than once per turn -- perhaps that?

I hope I didn't do something bad by posting strats.

Oh, darn. If it wasn't because the site went down, I would have noticed this awesomeness earlier. Oh well, can't let this one pass since it's one of my fav FFs and has good replay value on top of that... so even though I'm late, I guess I'm in.

Oh, and... since all GFs except maybe Eden and Cerberus are pretty much useless against Omega other than using them as meat-sheilds, wouldn't it be a better idea to say "without using Limit Breaks and Invincibility Items" instead? Or both. I vote for a "no invincibility" condition to be added anyways! =O

I finally got a copy of VIII! *triumphant music plays* Except I can't take pics, because, well, I don't have a camera of my own.
I graduated with a SeeD rank of 4. Stupid Zell told me to run away from the crab and I actually listened to him. I guess that's why I got a terrible score, hehe.
