That's normal for enemies in the Lunatic Pandora.

If you're having trouble with Seifer, or any other boss, increasing your levels will only make it harder. You need to improve your junctions. Mod as many unneeded cards into items and see what sort of magic you can refine.

It's the AP that matters :</>D! You want to your GFs gain junction and magic/card refining abilities so you can do as Mr. Bard suggested :bounce:

The best place for AP without EXP is the Kashkabald Desert. The Cactaurs yield 1-3 EXP and 20 AP each.

Those cactuars are awesome :</>D! A good trick for getting Diablo is to keep casting Demi on him, then once his HP is low enough just knock him out with your other attacks. For some reason he'll cast Curaga on one of your party members every time you cast Demi.

Blind works as well as it disables his physical attack, leaving him with Demi and Gravija which can't kill you.

Blind is definitely the best strategy. I remember casting that on him and taking my time collecting 200 Demis before I killed him with Limits.

Final Fantasy VIII likes to bite back if you level grind too much :p

I agree Blind is the best way to go and hammering gf boost.

All bosses have a minimum and maximum level. If your level level is above the maximum level for a boss, it won't get harder the more you level. Some bosses do however have a maximum level of 100, or close to that. I don't really have a list in my headz.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I advise restarting the game and learning to exploit the Junction system some more earlier on. It's what I had to do eventually, because if Seifer's proving too much of a challenge now then the next boss you fight is going to obliterate you.

Trust me on this one.

Seconded the junction system is essential beyond this point in the game

I managed to get to the lunatic pandora without properly understanding the junction system believe it or not! But then I accidentally overwrote my file :|

It's still no problem beating the game on level 100, just go crazy with them junctions.

I was like this the first time I played, heavily relying on casting my GF's. I got as far as Adel and well, she destroyed me, so I restarted the game.

I don't see the point in restarting, it took me forever to understand the concepts behind the battle system and enemy leveling my first couple times through back in the day. But its not like junctions and stuff work different depending on your level. If he just junctioned everything properly now it'd be the same as if he'd been junctioning better the whole time. Just go find places to draw the best spells and get up to ... 99? of them, or as close as you're comfortable with. It gets boring after a while

Best time to beat Diablos is literally right away when you get the Magic Lamp. As long as you remember to draw protect from the giant mechanical spider in Dollet (can't remember its actual name) he's actually quite easy as with lowish HP the effect of gravitational magic is alot lower than when your HP is higher.

To get around the fact that some of the games tougher bosses increase in level although junctioning the proper magic is very important if you level Squall up to level 100 with Lionheart & every other character to around level 50 (which is easily done on the Island Closest To Hell as long as you have Tonberry's Level Down ability & plenty of Meltdown spells stocked) also with their ultimate weapons. By doing this the powerful bosses will still only be around levels 45-50 & Squall at such a high level with Lionheart & the correct juntions in an unstoppable killing machine.

LOL I beat diablos with Laguna in a dream sequence which was really easy

I wouldn't go as far as restarting, I barely found out what the junction system was on my first playthrough.

Just junction what you currently have, maybe do a little draw mining.

There is a secret. If you level up to level 99 (not 100) in this dungeon and save your game you will be given the option to save a secret pocketstation file which will allow you to revive Aeris.
