No, this thread is not for one to discuss one's opinions on this subject. There are no more opinions. There is an objectively greatest movie ever.

This is it. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fa7ck5mcd1o)

I especially like how the shark eats a US Navy Cruiser, and eats the Golden Gate Bridge, then tops it by eating a passenger jet (Which appears, when the dude looks out the window, to be cruising at a cool and breezy 150 feet). Also the giant octopus crushes an entire oil rig and then smacks a jet fighter out of the sky.

But do not fret! Whilst the time-honored question of best movie ever may be answered, I'm sure we can instead discuss the greatest moments in this movie, or indeed just the trailer.

I think I like the dude at 0:32 the most.

xD Is this supposed to be a parody? It looks like a bad SNL sketch.

Jesus christ has Lorenzo Lamas been in anything that hasn't looked fucking terrible?

We're dealing with a menace, Hux. A menace.

It takes something really special for me to go out of my way to hunt a straight to dvd movie but that shark attacking the passenger jet takes the cake.

I would love to have been at the board meeting when this idea was mooted.

"So get this, guys, there's this giant octopus and a mega shark."
"A what shark?"
"A mega shark."

I imagine someone during that pitch probably used the phrase "epic win" too.

As for the film itself, I refuse to comment on a film that is called "the greatest movie ever" and isn't Big Trouble in Little China or The Boys From Brazil, a film that can boast Laurence Olivier, Gregory Peck and 94 Hitlers.

Holy fucking :bou::bou::bou::bou:

I had no idea a movie could have such horrifically bad dialogue and visual effects in this day and age...

Maybe they're trying to do deliberately what Snakes on a Plane did by accident: create something so painfully :bou::bou::bou::bou: that it becomes popular out of its own absurdity?

I'm pretty sure that's Asylum's MO, only TO THE MAX.

Heath: Big Trouble in Little China is a truly great movie, but it does not involve a mega shark eating an airborne passenger jet. 94 Hitlers is, however, a compelling argument. But no, still, giant octopus.

I will likely watch this if I can find it for cheap. Would be a good B-movie to watch with some friends to mock it.

Youtube Comment: "Awesome. Sharks on a Plane. Personally I'm waiting for the porno version: Mega Skank vs. Giant Octocock."

That'll get some major awards.

That's not why SOAP was popular. It was popular because Samuel L. Jackson. "Of" was intentionally skipped there, because SLJ is that awesome.

So, yeah. This film would rock if it had him in it. Or 94 Hitlers.

It's like someone from youtube got their script accepted to be turned into a very classy movie.
