Forsaken Lover

To start off, we really must compare the films they starred in.
Interview with the Vampire was an overall faithful adaptation of a geat book and it made an excellent film.
Queen of the Damned sucked donkey balls.
Then we must compare how they looked.
Cruise looked like Lestat.
Townsend looked like somebody. Not Lestat.
Then how well did they capture their personalities?
Cruise was both cruel and classy...like Lestat in the book. But he was also vulnerable and alone...again like in the book. His relationship with Louis is ambiguous but it's obvious at least that, like in the book, lestat deeply loved the man as a companion and friend.
Townsend is in love with Jessie in the movies...that's not in the book. So again he's playing someone else, not Lestat.
Overall we must conclude Cruise is better as a vampire in every way possible. In fact every actor in Interview was better. Pitt captured Louis' despair. Dunst radiated Claudia's demonic nature....
So this ends my impartial analysis.
What do you all think?
We'll now end this fair and balanced comparison with a Lestat scene from interview.with the Vampire.
