They seem pretty useless to me, I mean, one goes off, and people just kinda walk by. No one seems to care. I know when I hear one go off all I do is carry on with what Im doing, listening to the alarm and trying to pick up the different tones in the sound.

Whats your opinion on Car Alarms/ What does your car alarm sound like/ Would you do anything if you were walking past a car when it's alarm went off?

My car's alarm (VW Jetta) sounds mentally handicapped. I honestly don't think it has an alarm proper, just honks the horn over and over. It's rather useless, considering I got my car broken into last October. It was parked right outside my friend's house and we were on the second floor with the windows open, so pretty sure the stupid alarm didn't even go off.:(

If I got a car alarm I'd have one that screamed "I'm being stolen, help me!". That would be awesome.

One time we managed to start the car without the alarm 'thinking' it was safe to do so. I don't know how, since we didn't reach in and opened the door from the inside or anything like that.

I told Chemical to turn the engine 'off'. I hit the button to unlock the car (beep beep) and then we started the car. All set.

Car alarms are worthless unless you see a car on the road beeping regularly, non-stop. That's when you call the cops

Momiji's secret pastime: Watching out the window on the second floor where people can't see me, and setting off my car alarm when people walk by

When I lived in the dorms, sometimes we'd get some violent thunderstorms. There's nothing like a symphony of 20 car alarms going off simultaneously because of a particularly violent thunderclap.

theres a car down my road and its alarm goes of everyday at the exact same time making multiple stupid noises so not your average alarm

You drive?

Only for about 4-5 years now. (I learned not-so-legally when I was 14.)

I'm pretty sure my car doesn't have an alarm.

I remember in junior year setting of my alarm during English in an attempt to disrupt class/anger the teacher. :)

The car alarms on our street go off during the air show because we're so close to the base xD
