Have you ever experienced the joy of one before? What sort of things have you put in them?

Marshmallows and bananas in a chocolate fountain is pure bliss. That's one of the things I'll require at my wedding one day. I hate most fancy foods, so I can't imagine I'll go crazy on that, but the chocolate fountain must be there!

everytime I've had one of these it's always ended up disappointing me :( I think it' sbecaue the chocolate dries really fast and then is just kinda crusty.

I've never experienced the glory that is a white chocolate fountain, and I do not like real chocolate. Pooey.

We've had one at in my household for a few years. It's always out on birthdays and stuff. Yum yum yum. ^You have to put oil in it so it flows better and isn't all dry and gross. Fat fat fat!

Strawberries and bananas are good in it, as are marshmallows, pretzel sticks, and little cookies. :D Pineapples fall off toothpicks too easily. :O

Pour melted chocolate into ice-cold (dark) soda. It makes a lot of weeeeeeird frothy mousse stuff fizz up.

Double-check it's chocolate before you take a dive.

You can make one really easily. Get a nice sized pot, and set it up over a few candles. Melt your chocolate of choice in the pot. Dip and enjoy. Just don't use too strong a flame and if possible stir the chocolate every once in a while to prevent burning. Use dark chocolate, it melts a lot better than milk.

The best tings to dip are
Marshmallows
Graham Crackers
Cakes (Cut the cake into small cubes and dip those)
Cookies
Most Fruit (pretty much everything that's not a tomato)
Pretzels (salted.)

I've seen one at a buffet. I wasn't going to get any and I spoiled everybody's excitement by saying that people probably put 'stuff' in the chocolate and I doubted the ability of the chocolate filter to filter the bad stuff.

:D

I love chocolate fountains. I think I've used marshmallows and pretzels before with them. Very delicious.

My parents actually have one. You have to put a certain kind of oil in the chocolate for it to be fluid enough, and you also have to use a huge amount of chocolate to actually make it work.

But, it is delicious. It's really good with all kinds of chopped fruit, like e.g. strawberries, pineapple, oranges and so on. I lurve chocolate!
