EoFF, I have a confession relating to EoFF. I know many people think X-2 is ridiculously easy and not worthy of the Final Fantasy name, but I disagree. I love FFX-2! It's fun and upbeat and zany with a great battle system and I love all of the character's costumes! But that's not my confession...
I've never been able to complete FFX-2. Not because I voluntarily refuse to, but I literally cannot beat it.
In Chapter 5, after you enter the Farplane Abyss WTF ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT THOSE FORCE FIELDS AND KEYBOARDS AND EVEYTHING!? I've NEVER been able to get past it, or even understand what i'm supposed to do!
Please help me. ;___;

There are two methods you can use. The first is to step on the blue circles to play a series of notes that you need to copy on the nearby pianos. This deactivates the barriers. The second part with the floating stones is quite tricky to describe but trial and error should see you reach the other side.
The second method to to ignore the pianos and run straight through. Wait for the barriers to retract then run through them. Hold Circle to jump over the lasers before they shoot you. Using this second method is easier in one sense as it avoids the puzzles, but harder in that you have to face Azi Dahaka who is very difficult if you're not properly prepared. An Alchemist/White Mage is necessary and two jobs with high HP, Str and Def (Warrior, Dark Knight or Samurai). Set the battle speed to low so you have time to respond to his attacks. However, unlike other boss battle, you can escape if you find yourself having too much trouble.

Use Catnip and the PewPewPew!
Seriously that thing is a pain to try and beat normally.

The music was probably the most frustrating thing about the game for me. Specifically, the battle music. Worst battle music in the series.
Fun game though. Good luck beating it!

I like the personal touch when Rikku spherechanges out of the Songstress. She's so sad to put down that mic.
A good party to fight Azi is 2 high attack dresspheres and an Alchemist. Have the girl who will be your Alchemist equip the Highroad winds or Mounted Assault Garment grids (Mounted Assault is preferred for Auto-Haste) to cast Haste on everyone. (Chocobo Wings also cast Hastega) Keeping Haste on your Alchemist is nice because she can use the Stash Mega Potion for free healing. Keep attacking with your two high attack characters, and Stashing Mega Potions.
It is also helpful to use a Lunar and a Light curtain at the start to get Protect and Shell on everyone. Azi has a lot of HP so it will be a challenge but it is possible.
