My question for forum-goers is, what are some movies you're awaiting with high excitement?

There's a few movies coming out that I really want to see. First up; a new movie with that hunk of a man, Gerard Butler, from 300. The dude from Dexter is in it as well! This movie looks like a typical shoot em up, but I can't help but fawn over the bossness of it all. Gamer Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ubYTIazskQ) & Synopsis (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1034032/synopsis)

There's also a film called, Zombieland coming out that seems to mimic Shaun of the Dead a bit with it's whole comedy + horror antics. Do want! Woody Harrelson must be channeling Crocodile Dundee. Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=071KqJu7WVo) & Synopsis (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1156398/plotsummary)

I also wanna see the new Ice Age movie coming out next month, but since it's coming out very very soon I presume that most people have probably seen the trailer already so I won't bother posting it.

First off, Gerard Butler is so f'ing hot. His bod is so juicy and delicious.

I want to see "Jennifer's Body" which comes out in September, and stars Megan Fox as a high school cheerleader who becomes a cannibal zombie or something. It was written by Diablo Cody of Juno fame, so it must include some cute lingo! xD

I also want to see "Precious (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5FYahzVU44)", which comes out in November. It's supposed to be really depressing and sad, but uplifting and have really good acting, even from Mariah Carey! :0

I also want to see "The Princess and the Frog" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIzF64O2ZYc), out in December! Not only will it have the first Disney princess that'll look like me, but a return to 2-D traditional animation!

Glad someone else agrees. :aimkiss:

Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZJUgsZ56vQ) another movie I just discovered...it's from Sweden! It's about a child who is a vampire. At first I thought Eli was an effeminate looking boy and this was going to be a homoerotic movie, but Eli is in fact a girl. Also LOL @ Precious. It figures Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry would put funding in to that movie. It's right up their alley!

Let The Right One In came out in 2008. ;) It's a fantastic movie though, see it if you get the chance.

I really want to see My Sister's Keeper. It just came out in theaters, and I'm trying to get the money to go see it. It's about a girl who has cancer, and her sister is genetically made to save her, and give her body to her and stuff. It's supposed to be a really sad, sappy, depressing movie, that will probably make me bawl, but I love movies like that. xD

I didn't say it wasn't out yet, but I must pick up a DVD copy. :monster:

Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYVrHkYoY80)another film I checked out last night entitled, Shutter Island. It's another film (like The Departed) that has Leonardo Dicaprio with serious face and a pseudo Boston accent. Joy. It's also directed by Martin Scorsese who directed Leo in like two other films if I can recall correctly. It's probably going to be up for an Oscar nomination because Hollywood awards are predictable.

Check the packaging to make sure you get the version with subtitles in "English (Theatrical)," not just "English." The original DVD release used a subtitle script that was different from the theatrical version, primarily in that it was low-rent and horrible.

Movies that are most likely trainwrecks, but that I probably have to see anyway:

Scream 4 (2010)
Clock Tower (2010)
A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Saw 6 (2009)

Horror is the only genre where I actually have a general idea of what's to come. Any other genre I just check them out when they get released.

I love that movie D: Like, a lot. Unfortunately I saw a dub that was pretty smurfing terrible, but whatever. There's a remake being made by Matt Reeves. Why does my country remake what is already good?

I'm looking forward to so many movies I can't even remember them right now xD

However, I do remember that I saw the trailer for "Nine" starring Daniel Day Lewis and directed by Rob Marshall the other day, and it looked great.

- The Road
- Inglourious Basterds
- Where the Wild Things Are
- Dead Snow
- Toy Story 3 doesn't come out until next year, but I'm still excited.

And as for Let the Right One In, it was one of the best movies last year, if not the best.

Dead Snow is great and all, but I fail to see how it would be entertaining for people who don't speak Norwegian. Subs just ain't the same.

I really don't mind subs.

I must have only dreamed I posted in this thread. .

Anyways, Dynast, I've heard that Princess and the Frog is supposed to be disney's *last* 2D animated flick, unless it just does amazingly. I think that's what I heard.

(and by heard, i mean came to believe as a result of reading this girl's LJ Contorted Pasta (http://twirlynoodle.livejournal.com/tag/disney) )

Hobbit movies and WWZ.

They're further off than most though.

I didn't know they were doing The Road! Wow. Viggo Mortensen is a good choice for that, I think, but that's going to be one of the best and most terrifying movies ever.

I'm so behind on movies. I still really want to see Up. :/

A recently announced movie based on E. E. "Doc" Smith's Chronicles of the Lensman. Given how dang good the books were, I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie, even though I'll have to wait more than a couple years.

Apparently J. Michael Straczynski, the developer of Babylon 5 (longtime fan of the books who wrote Babylon 5 because of them) is behind the project. Now, Babylon 5 certainly wasn't perfect, but it did have enough good points that I have high hopes for this movie.

Scream 4

Why the hell are they making a Scream 4? 3 was already unnecessary. There's not much of interest for me this year. I'll try and see Public Enemies because a ninja and a pirate working together is cool.

I movie that I I would like to be made is a live action dragonball film directed by Michcael Bay. Also a Legend of Zelda movie could be great if done right. Link wouldn't even have to talk his expressions and actions would say everything.
