I'm always shocked to find other people who read or enjoy Tarot whether it's for the art, the stories, or for the purpose of reading. Anyone here fall in to that category or do you think it's creepy and / or dumb?

It's mostly baseless hokum, but it's a bit of a fun challenge to see if stuff lines up with what I've observed. Who doesn't like inspiration?

Same as Tav. I don't put any faith in it at all, but it's fun to see if they get a lucky reading and get something right.

I always click on artists' pages who promise illustrations of tarot cards, but I almost always wind up disappointed. Maybe I should just search out some art nouveau tarot decks.

And of course, it's always fun to run some experiments to see if the algorithms built up by centuries of fakirs stand up to real world verification.

It's all a load of rubbish.

I think they're kind of stupid, but if people use them as a source of inspiration for ideas rather than for fortune-telling, then whatever. So long as they realise that you can just as easily get ideas for things by using Google or Yahoo! image searches or even the random page link on Wikipedia. :p

I lave a deck that I use with the minor arcana as a deck of cards.
Because they are pretty. The major arcana just kinda sit there though. :spin:

They're no more ridiculous than belief systems based off of books, so I don't particularly care. Let people do what they want.
