Three new artists, dudes!

I approve of this idea.

The Very Sexuals (http://www.theverysexuals.com/)

When you hear Skunk Records what do you think? Sublime most likely. Other possibilities might be a skunk, weed, or Tabasco Sauce. Most people won't think of The Ziggens though. Co-founders of Skunk Records. Their unique blend of punk, surf rock, ska, and general goofball humor is a pleasure to the ears.

YouTube - the Ziggens - I TOOK MY MOM TO THE PROM (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcWbieM8AFo)

Check out The Weepies (http://www.myspace.com/theweepies)!

They're not so obscure anymore - a few of their songs have made it on TV and commercials, but their name is still pretty unknown.

It's a boy and girl duo - their music is very cute folk/alternative. They're generally upbeat and fun to listen to. They put a smile on my face.

Best songs:

Gotta Have You (Their best known and my favorite)
Take It From Me
All That I want
No One Knows Me At All
Painting By Chagall
This Is Not Your Year

They also have a new album out now, I haven't check it out yet, but you should do it now!

Enjoy! And send more obscure bands and artists that you like to me by PM! I can never have too many! :jess:

I already know and like the Weepies very much.

The Ziggens have potential and had a couple of lulz lines, but I found them too repetitive and uninspired ultimately. Nice to see someone clearly enjoying themselves though.

I like The Very Sexuals quite a lot though! It's a really nice song, though I wish the voices were a bit stronger it's still something I expect I'll listen to again.

The Very Sexuals have a nice sound. This songs sounds like the soundtrack to a great summer, with late nights outside and sunny roadtrips through the countryside. Quite atmospheric.

"I Took My Mom To The Prom" by The Ziggens was a cute song.

I like The Weepies. They have a really chillaxed and laidback indie sound, and I like her voice. At first I thought it sounded slightly childish - must just have been the tone of the voice or something.
Basically, I like them quite a bit.

The Weepies - Kind of remind me of Simon & Garfunkle. I didn't really like them that much; too soft for me; but the one song The World Spins Madly On hit a soft spot. I would not buy their cd, pirate their music or go to a live show.

The Very Sexuals - I also didn't really like them. I didn't give them much of a chance though. I was listening to the song Carla and that's the only one I could find. I would not buy their cd, pirate their music or go to a live show.

The Ziggens - Are okay. I listened to quite a few of their songs. Nothing spectacular imo. I wouldn't buy their cd, I would pirate their music and I might go to a live show.

Weepies and Very Sexuals get my vote. The other one did make me laugh, but it isn't something that I can see myself listening to often.

All the bands this week were okay so far—no love at first listen, but it's not all bad. I think I can probably grow fond of some of them. Not sure which I like best yet, but I'm leaning towards The Very Sexuals. Keep them coming, this is such a lovely feature! :jess:

I almost fell asleep listening to the combined catatonia that are these bands. Why is it people are into this middle-of-the-road indie tripe? Everyone hand in your man cards; you don't deserve them.

Yeah, opinions suck.

(send something in if you're disappointed with the current roster, Maxx! ;))

Shall be updating this tomorrow!

My RM powers were stripped of me during this Ciddie Competition, so a CK is gonna have to close this one up!
