I hope this is okay. I own the disk so it should be okay. Anyway I've been playing through Chrono Cross without any real problems. It'll lag every now and again. But then I got to Lucca's Orphanage and this happened.

I tried to fix it and the best I could do was make it wave. Here are my settings.

Baseball Bat.

Maybe later. I've only had the computer a week.

So what's it doing again?

I can't see anything apart from the tiny bar at the bottom of the screen.

You'll have better luck asking at a website specifically for emulators :p

Read or ask around on the official website (www.epsxe.com/). I had a bunch of troubles with the emulator itself and decided it wasn't worth playing games on my computer that involved such a poor emulator.

Use pSX instead. It's lovely.

epsxe isn't a poor emulator, actually it's the best psx emulator there is.

Which version are you using? 1.7.0 had bugfixes that messed up some games such as FF9 or Chrono Cross. I'd try using 1.6.0 or 1.5.2 before doing anything else.

Jessweeee gave me a site that had the answer. Thanks for all y'alls suggestions. But yea I've got 1.7.0. How's pSX work?

Imma go with pSX as superior, though you are right, it's not a poor emulator. Just not as good. :p

For some reason pSX never really ran well on my old PC, seemed like a resource hog even though I did like it. Maybe I should've fine-tuned the settings a bit better but in general I find that epsxe requires less resources. Though yes pSX is arguably superior depending on your PC's specs.

Ya bugger, I was going to say that.

But yes, use pSX. I think the only games that don't work are either copy-protected or were known to have compatibility issues with the PS2.

If you're going to use epsxe, go with version 1.5.2. It's the one I played Crono Cross on. :p

The only game I've got to work better on pSX is Resident Evil 3.
