restaurant burgers. where have you had the best? or the most expensive? or the most fancy/foofy/elaborate/ridiculous? pictures welcome.

best tasting burger: anything from Lunchbox Laboratory in Seattle. ridiculously good.

most expensive/fancy burger: original db burger (stuffed with short ribs, truffles, and foie gras) from db Bistro Moderne in NYC

best burger restaurant ambience/atmosphere: Vortex in Atlanta (although I usually get the porkin' pirate for so many reasons)

I like the "Sanfords" Chain of restaurants in the north west. :D

Also the Jack in the Box outside of LA on your way to Vegas. It had the best burger ever!

There's a local place in Fayetteville called Grubs that makes some pretty delish gourmet burgers. There was this one southwest something-or-other where they put salsa on the patty and then somehow encased the salsa in a slice of cheese, so it was an explosion of flavor when you bit into it. It was pretty dang good. It's not terribly expensive, either.

smurf the Lunchbox Laboratory. :mad2:

The best burger I've ever had (and I've eaten plenty!) is from a small local diner in Lafayette, CA. There's nothing hugely special about it. No chicken/duck patty or anything fancy schmancy like that (looking at you Lunchbox!) but everything in the burger is quality stuff, and prepared fresh and juicy.

Slabs of crispy bacon, thick juicy beef patty, grilled red onions, lettuce, pickles, "special sauce", and big toasted buns. Plus a side of crispy fries. A burger without a nice side of fries just isn't the same.

And of course, the best fast food burger in the world:

While Del Murder and I were in Barcelona, we were at a Tapas bar that served what they called a "McFoie Burger" it was sooo delicious. It wasn't all that expensive though, probably cause the portions are so small what with them being tapas and all.

Maybe i'm just a little slum. but i really like burgerking's whopper cheese :eep:
But there is a place in town that sells really good burgers, nominated for our city's best. Those are better of course. But i'm not that picky i guess

those burgers look good by the way!

Foofy? What is a foofy burger?

The best burger I've ever had is one I made. It was so awesome. I got spices and stuff perfect. I've never been able to make one even close to that again. All my other attempts ended in blandiness.

any burger with foie gras in it is foofy as in too highbrow to be a real burger.

Miriel only talks bad about Lunchbox Lab because the place is so good it was sold out when she got there for a late lunch.

Red Robin kicks ass

Replace the word kicks with sucks, in my opinion.

The best burger I ever had was (illegally) grilled on the balcony of a hotel at the beach. Ever since, I've been hooked on garlic salt and worchestershire on beef.

Hmmm... for fast food it would have to be In-n-Out.

My best friend owes me a "Cheese Burger Cash In" This is a very nifty and rare token, in fact, I have the only one ever exchanged within my group of friends.

I did him a great service once. Now, at my request, at any given time, no matter what the circumstances... he must go out, and retrieve me one cheeseburger. I have been waiting for the perfect moment for two years now...
