We need food 'cause it's like food and stuff. (http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1917596)

Who is the stupidest person you know?

I could really go on all day about my students and their parents because I have been amazed by their stupidity on many occasions, but I don't work there anymore and am trying to bury all of those memories deep.

Thinking through all the people I know, I'm going to have to say the stupidest person I know is Ashley (old member, TheAbominatrix, my best friend). Which isn't to say that she's entirely stupid, but she can't do math and I like math therefore I am biased against her. She's also a total socialist.

I could also say my dad, even though he's super smart in some ways, because he's a pretty epic racist. I almost had to walk ten feet away from him when he saw a Muslim family at Six Flags.

Now that I think about it, everyone I know who's stupid is also really smart in other ways. Which is kind of depressing because that probably means that, out of my group of friends, I'm the stupid one. :(

Someone in my high school seriously asked if Henry Ford "had something to do with" Ford automobiles. Pain... :yuck: High schoolers in general are idiots, actually.

I don't know if I know someone that's considered to be outright stupid, but I know some people that don't think before they speak, which can be considered stupidity at times I suppose?

Actually my ex from years back, who I at that time was in my class, was asked a question in this quiz thing, something like: What do they say in the church after each prayer? Obviously it's "amen", but she just blurted out: "HALLELUJAH!"

Lots of laughs were had on her account xD

Shlup you have no idea how many times me and Psy discussed how horrible it must be for one of your students to get on the wrong side of you or to get a math problem wrong...just think next time you're about to tear a kid apart it doesn't help young boys when they're torn apart by a hot girl...it's cruel but funny I would love to be there to just laugh my ass off!

I think my sister is pretty stupid but then thats a given if you've ever met my sister or even heard of her from me.

I know a lot of people who are very rich spoilt girlies, and they're not stupid (for the most part), but they're very ignorant and tend to not give a fuck about politics or saving the planet or moral issues or whatever, and sometimes their lack of cultural knowledge/caring actually astounds me. I really try not to be snobby about "You don't knowwwww who that issss?" because that makes you look like a total arse who needs a slap, but

ONE OF THEM COULDN'T BE ARSED TO WAIT TO GET AN AUTOGRAPH FROM SIR IAN MCKELLEN SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHO HE WAS, AND WE WENT OUT QUICKLY TO GET NEAR THE FRONT OF THE LINE AND EVERYTHING DUDE SHE JUST LEFT

And she was trying to look his name up on her iPhone after we told her "Well basically, he's Gandalf..." and she couldn't spell it :C She didn't really care and I just just I know it sounds stupid but how can you not care about meeting Ian McKellen?? And she was studying drama at the time :(

I think the stOooopid person I know is my self......

I'm way to nice of a guy for my own good...I get manipulated for the benefit of the other and I end up with bucket full of viniger and guile...

I have taken issue to resolve this problem of mine but its just that I always tend not to hold judgement and give reason of doubt...

How stupid am I eh.

Most of the people at work are nice, but they're pretty dumb in that All-American conservative sort of way. I was talking to one of them and she said she visited Italy after 9-11 and there were soldiers on the streets with guns and I thought "Wow, how frightening" and then she said that's what we need the most in America and was the only good thing about Italy when she visited.

Yesterday, she also went on about how America is going to die because our children will have to wait 8 months to have a medical appointment because of Obama's health care plan and how all of the people under universal health care flee to America and that's why we have illegal immigrants and how our health care is perfect right now.

When I said, "Um, well, France has the best health care system in the world, their citizens our healthier than ours, and it's cheaper than ours..."

And then she said that wasn't true because the whole of the UK has bad health care so France can't have good health care. I didn't have the heart to tell her that France isn't in the UK.

I'm surprised I wasn't mentioned. :p

The stupidest person I know offline was the only person to really tick me off at college. Offline I am very laid back and apathetic and don't give a damn about people enough to be bothered by them, but this one guy, Patrick, succeeded in being so mind-numbingly stupid that I couldn't tolerate him. He was such a self-entitled jackass that thought the world revolved around him, I'm getting irritated just thinking about it. Thank god I never have to see him again.

I couldn't even bring myself to watch that whole video, I wanted to send her to jail for that unlawful, blatant idiocy.

As for the stupid person... I have to say my step-dad. He is intelligent with anything thats his job, but with everything else he's all 6's and 7's if you catch my drift. ;D

This moron who stopped on the interstate. They were working on the road so slowing down was expected, but who the hell stops!? It was a normal sized car, it would be understandable if it was Van or Truck or something, but it was smaller than my car. And they stopped! I almost rear ended the car in front of me.

People who sit in the back of the bus and bitch because the bus driver hasn't left and it's two minutes late.

Okay maybe they don't ride it enough to realize she never leaves before the other buses leave, or that it will have to wait on the traffic light anyways, etc etc etc, but to hate on the driver because of two minutes? That is pretty ignorant, I think.

A girl that was a year behind me in school went to fill up her car at the gas station and when it told her to select what grade she wanted, she kept pushing in 11 because she was a junior in high school. She called her grandma, upset, because she couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. *facepalm*

Then, this one girl in my friend Laura's math class...The teacher asked for someone to give her an even number to write on the board so this girl says "five..." and couldn't understand why everyone was laughing at her.

Dumb girls that are always presenting themselves then act like idiots when guys hurt them.

"Why doesn't he love me?!"
"You acted like a tramp and he used you duh."

Stupid people that make just retarded cases against something when they only heard like a little bit of info.

"That obama wants to get rid of all my health care! He wants to drag this place down. How am I going to pay for health care now?! He's gonna get rid of it and we'll have nothing!"

"You mean the universal health care for everyone?"

"Yeah he's getting rid of healthcare for everyone!"

my old boss was like that and i hated it.
He would catch one sentence of a news story and think he knew the whole thing and you COULD NOT tell him diffrent.

Also once he was in the bobcat and lifted the bucket all the way up then tilted it all the way back and dumped the stuff on his self and then blamed us for putting it in there wrong, i was pissed.

that is brilliant.

my otherwise intelligent roommate is telling us that he has to use the kitchen table as his desk because his room is too hot and unlike us he doesn't own a fan to cool it off. But we both have $10 plastic desk fans from Target and last time I checked they hadn't sold out.

God, hearing most people talk about politics just kills me. I don't even mind if you have an opposing viewpoint as long as you've actually done research and are well informed. Someone I went to high school with had this as her Facebook status the other day:
"watching cspan and obamas plan for healthcare.....it sucks and socialist"

College is filled with stupid, stupid people who have been pampered their whole lives and can do whatever and just have their parents throw money away to keep them in good standing. It bothers me quite a bit.

#1 argument in favor of the estate tax. Of course that doesn't deal with stupid spoiled kids whose parents made the money, but usually people who worked hard and made their own money don't let their kids be such wastes.

An estate tax is never going to be that exorbitant as to turn heirs from obnoxiously rich to having to actually work to make their own way, though.

Biggest reason that I just want to live off campus. It's really all attitude. It doesn't matter if you're raised pampered or not, but it matters how you act and how you changed once you're in college or living on your own the most.

I was raised in a way that I had never plunged a toilet, pumped my own gas, cleaned a bathroom, vacuumed or done laundry on my own, and I tackled all of that with relative excitement and "Oh, what an adventure" (except for plunging the toilet, that wasn't fun.) It's really bad - it's something I'm not going to allow with my children. I don't like the idea of having been so... helpless.

And now I can do everything like that fine and I rather enjoy it. I like doing things for myself. I even pump my own gas now, when the majority of the gas stations in NY are attendant run.

Being raised a certain way is no excuse for not trying when you're out in the real world, or at least the quasi real world that is college. I hate people with that attitude you described. So I'm excited to be living off campus when I get back to America.

I've never been cruel to a student for getting a math problem wrong. My cruelty is always entirely appropriate and often necessary.

Most of my students adore me, even the bad ones 'cause I'm one of the few people in their lives that sets boundaries for them and calls them on their crap.
