Sorry for the delay, three new bands!

Some light, easy-listening music from France. I haven't listened to a whole lot of their stuff, but I've liked what I've heard. :shobon:

Described on their MySpace (/pompedechambre) with the following paragraph:

Ambroise, Christophe, and Jeremie have played together as Revolver since september 2006. These three musicians, who each come from very different musical backgrounds, create what they call "chamber pop"—reference to both the Renaissance compositions and the pop music of Elliott Smith or the Kinks. Revolver distinguishes itself by its rich vocal harmonies and stark compositions.

Crystal Castles - You have to really look at a lot of their music to get a good idea of them:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2gdbQpESNY">Crimewave</a> is one of their most popular songs
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovV_baO8gho">Alice Practice</a> is one of my favourites

You are worth a million dollars but I don't have that kind of money so, honey, can I help you give yourself for free?

I like Revolver, and Josephine Foster is very cute, but...

No, I had to listen to about 20 seconds to fall completely in love.

I have an interesting relationship with Crystal Castles. I liked them when I first heard them a couple of years back, and then they decided to start selling T-shirts at their shows with old Trevor Brown artwork on them. Of course, they didn't even know who Trevor Brown was, or that it was his art that they were using and selling without his knowledge or consent, but it apparently didn't matter to them as it took Trevor over a year of BSing with them to get them to work something out. I like Trevor Brown a Hell of a lot more than I like them, so that basically ruined anything that I originally liked about their music, and just really annoyed me. That drama has been over for awhile now, though, and I'm starting to regain a little bit of interest.

This was my favorite week, between the three artists. I absolutely fell in love with Revolver though. I downloaded their album and love almost every song I've listened to so far. Fantastic.

I adore Untitled 1# so much.

I already know Crystal Castles. "Crimewave" was a minor radio hit in Denmark when it was released, and I really like it (it got played on the biggest radio channel in Denmark, called P3. They are really good at focusing on both indie/alternative stuff and popular music). I like pretty much everything I've heard of theirs actually.
One of my friends is into them, and we spend an entire week painting together as a summer job where we would listen to e.g. Crystal Castles.

I need to buy some of their stuff.

Will look into the other artists once I have some more time.

Yeah, it's pretty good. Free breakfast and lunch too! :)

Listened to Josephine Foster as well, and I like her sound. Quite spartan - kinda reminds me of some of Cat Power's earlier stuff, and God knows how much I love Cat Power! ILOVEHERALOT!

Revolver is interesting, I'll suggest something that's more folky for next week. :)
Obv I love CC; its neat to hear they're bigger than I thought
(I dont know who Trevor Brown is but I'm sorry to hear about that)
Josephine was nice and soft, sweet.

5 weeks in? Oh allie!

That's okay, though, I'd probably not have seen it either, if Rantzien hadn't given me the idea. xD

Gonna post the next one sometime within this day.
