I want you nubs to list what you remember in the olden days.

I remember when Pokemon and Beyblade were the most popular things in the world.

I remember when consoles used to be fat as a depressed woman, and were 16 Bit.

And when i was handed my First Gameboy for my 3rd birthday. Still got that thing.

What do you remember.

Wait... I don't remember Beyblade being popular...

I remember when popularity was measured by how many Power Rangers toys you had.

I remember when everyone wanted to be the Green Ranger.

I remember when games took forever to beat because they were hard, not necessarily because they were long.

Haha, yes, pogs. I collected those.

I remember the original Kirby game for Gameboy.

I had sooooo many pogs. The lady my step-mom babysat for worked at a place that made them or something, so I got them by the bag.

I rarely played the game though. I preferred marbles. xD

I remember feeling like the coolest kid on the block because in front of my stoop (haha, stoops, gotta miss city living) I'd always sport the newest pimped out skip-its, like the ones that shoot out bubbles or the ones that count your skips.

I'd wake up at 6 in the morning every day to watch Sailor Moon. Then I'd come home and eat cheese crackers in my Mom's room while watching Bobby's World.

Actually I just very vaguely remembed a dude on the TV with a sledgehammer and my parents acting like it was a big deal. A far clearer memory from around that age is writing 93,000,000 on my chalkboard. And I'm not German so I don't have a weird love of the Hoff.

I remember when the Disney Channel didn't have commercials.

I remember Are You Afraid of the Dark? with frightening clarity.

I remember pogs and slammers and how to play the game. I also remember getting beat up because I won some kids 50$ metal slammer of awesomeness that was shaped like a saw blade.

I remember Double Dare and how bad I wanted to get on that show and absolutely destroy everyone at everything because oh god it was glorious.

I remember having a crush on Clarissa and having her Explain It All to me every chance I got.

I loved that show.

I remember Goosebumps on TV when I was so young and it TERRIFIED ME. It was soooo retro-cool when they started playing it again on TV during October.

I remember how stupid I thought Pokemon were and when I wouldn't watch any non-animated TV show.

Also, I remember when animated TV shows used to be good, like the Flintstones or Loony Tunes

metal slammer of awesomeness that was shaped like a saw blade.
I had like 3 of those

I also remember the first Gulf War and practically soiling myself when I saved up enough money to buy the brand new SNES with Zelda LttP included. I also remember cursing that stupid worm in the tower of Hera. I remember when Nintendo Power used to send people promotional VHS tapes for the upcoming Donkey Kong Country game and the commercial for Super Mario RPG. I remember watching the Simpsons when it first become its own show.

But most of all, I remember when MTV mostly played videos.

Also, I remember when animated TV shows used to be good, like the Flintstones or Loony TunesSeeing reruns doesn't count

My mom bought a small bit of the Berlin wall.

I remember wearing two different colored socks with my LA Gears, and then folding them down so that you could see both colors. Neon colors, of course.

I remember watching the first episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I remember when you couldn't find any anime merch in America to save your life, and Ashley and I paid $30 for a bootleg copy of a Sailormoon movie.

I remember watching power rangers first thing in the morning... at day care... And I drew fanart of Kimberly, but I kinda failed at her figure, but!

and I remember when barney stopped being cool and was suddenly lame

wishbone

8:30 bedtime,

swinging on the swings and belting out to the stereo playing I Swear, and being told by my sister that there were two different versions, one by a man and one by a woman though she didn't know either of their names.

My sister playing a tape for me, some crazy rap that I started singing. I wonder what that was now...

My sister explaining that girls could have boy names if they spelled it with an i instead of a y for Nicki, Ricki, etc.

I remember everyone being nuts about pokemon, and the cards getting banned from school, but I didn't get the WB so all I could watch was digimon. But my sister was a manager at BK at the time and got me the pikachu kid's meal toy.

I remember on thursdays my dad would pick me up from day care, we'd get dinner at Wendy's across the street, maybe get an ice cream with bright colored sprinkles, and then we would go to the library for a glorious hour or two because they were open late on thursdays...

*rubah slowly melts into nostalgia of the first five years of her life*

I watched the second episode of Dino-Riders until my nose bled.
Making a lion’s head out of leftover pastry, only to come back to find it covered in ants.
VHS tapes looked as if they were modeled after Number 5, although it would be well over a decade before I knew that was its name.
The moon-headed man from McDonald’s, and prunes that played jazz.
Jason Gunn and Thingee.

Tenchi ftw. First anime I ever got exposed to, and my parents thought it was the work of the devil.

I remember when stoop kid was afraid to leave his stoop.
He left. He's probably still chasing Harold across the city though...

I remember the Angry Beavers. They were a little after my time, but I held on to cartoons for as long as I could.

I remember fanny packs. Good lord.

Also, neon Koosh balls.

-I remember thinking slinkies were the coolest toy ever, I seriously thought they could come to life as they went down stairs.
-I remember getting up super excited to check the computer, back in the years when RPing was a pokemon adventure or a magic journey.
-I remember the pokemon card hype, everyone traded during lunch hours.
-I remember the SNES being my first ever gaming console and loving Kirby Superstar and Super Mario RPG... I was the biggest videogame nerd in my circle of friends.
