What is it?
Concordia: Final Fantasy is a new Flash project of mine. It is a traditional RPG with Dissidia: Final Fantasy characters and 8-bit graphics.

Why 8-bit sprites?
A multitude of reasons, the first, and most important, is that I'm more of a programmer than an artist. The other reason is that spriting takes relatively less time than drawing, especially if it is 8-bit sprites.

Where did you base the sprites off?
WoL - FF1 Fighter
Garland - FF1 Thief
Firion - FF1 Fighter
Emperor - FF1 Red Mage
OK - FF3 Onion Knight (with minor changes)
CoD - FF2 Maria
Cecil - FF4 Cecil (both Paladin and Dark Knight)
Golbez - FF2 Ricard/Gareth
Butz - FF5 Butz
Ex-Death - FF3 Dark Knight
Terra - FF2 Maria
Kefka - FF2 Guy
Cloud - FF2 Leon
Sephiroth - FF2 Gordon
Squall - FF2 Guy
Ultimecia - FF2 Leila
Zidane - FF3 Thief
Kuja - FF3 Scholar
Tidus - FF1 Fighter
Jecht - FF1 Black Belt

The sprites suck!
That is not a question, nor is it false. From the screenshot above, you can see that I'm not good at spriting, so what more if I draw my own graphics? The best looking sprite that I made, in my opinion, is the Ex-Death sprite. And I didn't even 'make' it! It's just a palette swap of the Dark Knight sprite from FF3 with some additions.

Who else is making it?
Just me. Don't worry, I can handle it.

"Concordia"?
It is Latin for 'Harmony'. Why 'Harmony'? You're going to find out when you play the game.

How is the gameplay like?
Similar to FF1's battle system. Four characters fight enemies in a turn-based battle. I may implement something similar to Dissidia's Bravery system, though.

What is the story of the game?
In a nutshell, it takes place after Dissidia. The Heroes and Villains are transported yet again to a familiar, yet strange, world by a mysterious entity. The characters will have to do something extremely drastic and clichéd: work together to find out what has happened to them. Of course, if you mix the Heroes with the Villains, there's bound to be deceit and conflict.

When will it be released?
If I were to make an estimate, I would say around December this year (it's going to be a small game, but I'll only be working on it on my freetime).

Do you have a site?
No, but any and all updates will be posted in this thread, on my Newgrounds Userpage (http://pacobh.newgrounds.com), or on the LiveJournal (http://concordia-ff.livejournal.com/) I made for this project.

Please, post any and all suggestions in this thread!

>>> Those sprites suck??
Dude, those sprites are awesome for just 8-bit!..
seriously, I made a FF1 Dissidia hack (http://forums.eyesonff.com/final-fantasy/124442-ff1-dissidia.html) and my 8-bit sprites suck balls compared to yours..
well, my color palette was more limited, but still..

Thanks! But I must admit, if you could've used more colors in your Dissidia Hack, your sprites would probably look better than mine. :D

Actually, even will only the villains working together, there would still be conflict and deceit. Then again, you can't really trust the full honesty of Cloud and Squall, since they tend to be secretive loners. Cecil also has been a Dark Knight, so trusting him would be difficult too.
