Ever been to a baby shower?

We had one at work today. It was cute and nice. The mom is really young and beautiful, the baby is gonna be so pretty. I liked the tiny clothes and socks!

I went to the one for my baby brother.

It was lame. I hate old ladies.

I've been to a lot of baby showers. I find them entirely dull.

My college girls threw a baby shower for one of our expecting profs.

Baby Pinks and Blues... I wore a pinish white paisely print and all I gave her was deep blue tonka trunk.... I precog that she (no one else percisely knew) would be having a girl but I declared that its a boy and gave her that truck..

Apparently the (now) toddler like pushing the toy around :D

Three noses?!

I've never been to a baby shower but my sister-in-law is having one soon. Probably not going to that one either, though.

If I wasn't unmarried and 19, yes! Baby showers are so cute. :(

Plus, the food was sooooooo good.

i went to one a few weeks back, my first one.
Was a girl from work, was extra special in the fact that she and her husband had been trying for a baby for a long time and no joy, so she had 4 courses of IVF and was told it was failing.
They found out boxing day just gone that she was pregnant :D

It was lovely, all those gorgeous baby clothes and lovely food!

Unfortunately I was moving furniture around for one of my mom's friends so she could even have a babyshower that all her friends could attend, That trick needed to lose the grandfather clock and 6 ft long heavy woodframed couch... -grumbles- and unfortunately was asked to stay for the proceedings XP it was wretchedly boring i assure you, although Rye is quite right, the food at these things is great.

I had a chicken cutlet hero, and two pieces of an Italian Hero, and it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! I felt so fat after!

As I recall I ate about 3 sandwhiches, around 2 pieces of cake and I stole 4 glasses of wine :D I was quite proud of myself. But beyond the underage drinking it wasn't much fun :/

It doesn't seem that males are welcome at baby showers in my family. I don't think I was even at my own brother's baby shower. xD

I went to my sister's.

It was awkward, actually seeing 'relatives' I've never met, and seeing the father, and thinking, 'Hello, Michael. I've impregnated your adolescent sister."

I know it is frowned upon but I think eating an hero, Italian or otherwise, is a little harsh :(

Baby Showers are pretty rare in Norway still, but we're getting there. Stupid Americans managed to shove Valentine's Day and Halloween down our throat. What's next? 4th of July? Thanksgiving? :colbert: Nah-uh, no sir, dun think so.

>>> My brother made one for his baby, when I heard about "Baby shower" I was like WTF?!
is that a kind baptism or something?.. Then my mom explained me the whole thing. And then I realized that baby showers are a total waste of time effort and are pointless..

Anyway, no I haven't been to one, my Y-chromosome makes me ineligible for them.

I didn't actually really get a baby shower because well, things with going to Georgia and what not got pretty chaotic, my baby shower was basically, going to see family and getting presents, which is really all that I would have cared about anyways.
