Yes, it's official: Regis Philbin returns with a 10th anniversary special event primetime revival of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. However, it won't be like the original primetime version that ran from 1999-2002; it will instead be a mostly Meredith Vieira-style format with the re-addition of the preliminary Fastest Finger round.
Like the Meredith version, there will be time limits on questions, different lifelines (X2 replaces 50/50), and the Meredith-style money board.
Plus, there will also be celebrities playing for charity.
The revival starts on Sunday, August 9, on ABC.
