Obviously inspired by the name thread that is already going on. I lack creativity at the moment.

If I were a girl my parents would have called me Jeanette (pronounced Sha-net).

If you were born as the opposite sex, what would your parents have called you?

I have a feeling that if I were female, my name would have been Marie or something like that.

My name would stay the same because it is unisex pretty much.

My parents would have named me Aisling (pronounced ash-leen) if I was a girl, but now my little sis is called that.

I was supposed to be a Christine, while personally I'd much prefer Ada Wong. However, didn't turn out very asian or female.

Parents would have named me Catherine Elizabeth (which is pretty classy)

I would name myself Xochitl, if I looked suitably Aztec.

I'd have been Christopher or Michael. And I'd have my grandfather's first name as my middle name.

I'd be probably be named Maria (Mar-ria)....

Also I'd like to point out that I just might dishonor that name since most likely I'd be a bit of man-eater just as I am prone to being a charming womanizer....Oh and I'd dress like a veira....(sans ears)

Elizabeth.

I know this for a fact.

I really can't remember, but a name that can't be abbreviated anyway as my parents are funny about our names being shortened, which is why I'm called Amy and my brother is John. Funnily enough, my Mum abbreviates my name to 'Aimes'.

They named my little brother after my father, so if I had been a boy first then I would have received that name.

Probably Kyle. But I'd change it to Jezebel.

Yeah, I have no idea. Or any curiosity about it, either.

My mum was so convinced she was having a male she never bothered thinking of female names as a possibility. Sure made things awkward when they had to surgically graft male genitalia onto me when I was born. In hindsight it'd have been easier to call me Rebbecca than pay the expensive medical bills, but time makes fools of us all.

Don't worry! My father-in-law is named Tony (goes by Tone) and he's super awesome and I love him! Its just that I also knew 3 or 4 really creepy, creepy dudes named Anthony :( My third grade "husband" was named Tony and maybe that's why I hold weird feelings about it!

This absolutely made my day.

My parents hadn't considered a female name for me as they knew I was going to be a male. I likely would have ended up as a Zoe (a family name, a great aunt I think) as the only reason they didn't name my sister Zoe was because they didn't want their childrens' names to alliterate.

It's kinda weird to think about what I might be like as a man. I have a lot of masculine traits already. Would I be that much more masculine, or would I be just as feminine then as I am manly now?

I guess metrosexual chefs are a lot more common than frilly hippie engineers, though.

I'm less concerned with the name and more interested in if I would have gotten that pretty pink dress I asked for every Christmas. :C
