Hey, welcome to the Hottest Guy of Gaming Tournament! This is where we find out who the hottest guy of gaming is. This will work exactly like the Hottest Video Game Babe Tournament. I have collected 64 of the hottest guys that were nominated, and grouped them in four brackets of 16.

Some interesting facts about this tournament.
18 characters from Final Fantasy
12 characters from various fighting games
2 characters to satisfy Baloki's desire

First off, we'll be starting off with the first round, where we'll be voting for each bracket for a day. We'll be voting in the first bracket today, with the next one tomorrow. It will go quick, so pay close attention to this thread if you plan on voting! The votes will be done by posts, just like last time! Only during the later rounds when we'll start voting under spoilers. I will be providing pictures to assist you while you vote, but please don't base your votes solely on the provided image. You are free to provide extra images if the image I provided is not sufficient. :P

1. Dan Hibiki - Why? Cause he's Dan Hibiki and as usual he's gonna lose and lose badly.

2. Terry Bogard - Rufus tries sleazy corporate whore while Terry is far more carnal with his muscles and simple outfit. He's been bringing sex to arcades for 15+ years. He still looks damn fine.

3. Welken Gunther - Our SolCal entry is just a boy compared to the sexy going on with the other people in this bracket. Even Sora wins over him with a better non-punk looking outfit and attitude. Gunther has that quiet sexy going for him.

4. Jecht - Yosuke is still just a young boy while Jecht is a man's man. Despite his age difference, Jecht still has a strong sexy body and I really have to give it up for guys that can hold onto that.

5. Kyle Hyde - Sora looks like jailbait. Despite being 16, he always looks 12 to me and that's just eww... I'm choosing the classic detective look over anime jailbait this round.

6. Cecil Harvey - He was forboding in his Dark Armor but when he becomes a Paladin, I feel most of felt "DAMN, HE'S SMOKING HOT!!!:Eek: No wonder he got Rosa". He's been making albino's sexy and stylish in gaming for 15+ years. As for his competitor... We all know his unnatural beauty would let him win this whole competition. No one will deny it so its better to let him quietly move out of the competition knowing that and allow the others a chance to see who wins second place. ;)

7. Dante - Granted, they could easily be long lost brothers but while Dante is a chauvinistic jack ass, Genesis is a whiny emo bastard. And while I'm well aware of Dante constantly cheating on you with anything willing to bend over, I can live with that more Thursday night "Date night" with Genesis where he rents a tear jerker chick flick and proceeds to interrupt the movie constantly with his bad poetry and how he aspires to be like Sephiroth.

8. Fei Fong Wong - good looks and a good body. He also has multiple personalities so it it will be like dating four guys at once. SCORE!

1. Kilik - Granted, he's lost his hotness in recent games but the Tekken guy never looked good in any of his incarnations.

2. Cloud - Despite loving Suikoden 2 infinitely more, I've always liked Cloud's heavy anime design. I hate his new "realistic" look but he stills gets nice outfits despite looking like a whiny cosplaying emo bastard... Jowy only looked sexy in his Highland military uniform.

3. Irvine - Sci-fi stereotype vs. cowboy stereotype... Despite not liking cowboys, I can't see anything that separates Commander Shepard from any other leading male from a sci-fi story from Sci-Fi channel... Bishi Cowboys are not as common...

4. Geddoe - I love male designs with eye patches. I blame Captain Herlock. Tidus looks like a beach bum in lederhousen (sp?) Geddoe looks badass and sexy.

5. Sly Cooper - Yes he's a raccoon but seriously... look at his competition. Not only does he look like a woman he practically dresses like one. Sly has charm and a snazzy outfit.

6. Ashley Riot - This was a really tough one cause I think both of them are pretty sexy. I just like Ashley's design better and Alucard has lost a bit of his appeal since you trip over albino characters with swords wearing black. He lost a bit of his original appeal despite being there first. Besides... Ashley is not afraid to show a little T&A. ;)

7. Link - Laguna is cute and charming but Link, especially in his recent console incarnation is just smoking hot...

8. Jin Uzuki - Chris looks like he swallowed a football, got caught in his throat, and turned out to be allergic to it so now he's all swollen up. Since I prefer my men actually having necks Jin wins.

1. Snake - Snake is just awesome and has the power to make even a mullet look good. Even when he gets old and starts looking like J. Jonah Jameson he still appears regal and badass.

2. Miles - Despite my love for Tir, Miles is just more sophisticated and hot.

3. Albedo - Got to love a guy with a cape, who is not afraid to play with his little dolls. He can even magic tricks ;)

4. Setzer - Much like Dante vs. Genesis, I feel these two are cut from the same cloth and I've always felt Sephy's design was a wee too close to Setzer for my taste. Setzer has a better personality and a larger than life attitude. He likes opera so he obviously has class and a kickass airship to travel the world. Sephy has a hole, a large rock, and a momy complex.

5. Georg Prime - Once again sporting my weakness for eye patches, Georg has to win, he's a totla badass in both Suikoden II and V and he's proven to be great with kids so there is more to this warrior man than meets the eye.

7. Iori Yagami - Crazy = Sexy... and now I think I understand what's wrong with my love life... :(

Soul Bracket

1. Kilik (Soul Calibur series) - I seem to remember Hwoarang being far better looking but apparently I'm wrong. This probably should have been a tough match-up for me but Kilik has always looked good and is my best SC character so he takes the cake.

2. Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII) - Jowy looks too kiddy for my taste. While I'm sure he's good with that pole of his (:jokey:), Cloud is still pretty badass himself.

3. Irvine Kinneas (Final Fantasy VIII) - While he fails in-game at being charming, Irvine is pretty good looking. Also he gets bonus points for being able to use You Can Leave Your Hat On as a theme song. And my Commander Shepard was ugly as sin.

4. Tidus (Final Fantasy X) - I don't know, Geddoe just looks like he hasn't been fed properly which is a bit of a turn off. And Tidus is wet and all that skin is showing..

5. Zelos Wilder (Tales of Symphonia) - Zelos would probably have got my vote even if he weren't up against a raccoon.

6. Alucard (Castlevania series) - Ashley loses because of his hair. I'm just really not a fan. That's too bad though, because he's more manly looking than Alucard (even though Alucard has that bonus of being son of Dracula)

7. Laguna Loire (Final Fantasy VIII) - I'll never be able to envision Link as a man, he's always going to be that little elf boy with an annoying faerie pal. Laguna also has pretty nice eyes ;)

8. Chris Redfield (Resident Evil 5) -If I had played XenoSaga then Jin might have stood a chance. While he looks pretty cool, Chris wins. He's got that rugged, dangerous "Don't fuck with me" look to him that is a plus.

Fun Fact: I voted for the characters of the games I played first in this round. Not on purpose, but probably because I have "a better connection with them." :p

2. Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney series) - I'm a bit of a sucker for someone in formal attire. Seriously, I followed a guy wearing a nice suit for about 5 minutes yesterday, just because he was wearing a suit.

3. Albedo Piazolla (XenoSaga series)
3. Ryu (Street Fighter series) - Albedo looks like a nut job and that's not too appealing to me. Ryu has massive feet though which is kinda off putting.

4. Setzer Gabianni (Final Fantasy VI) - Being a gambler is infinitely cooler than being a mommy's boy. 'Nuff said :colbert:

5. Georg Prime (Suikoden V) - Georg is a man, Ike is a boy.

6. Sol Badguy (Guilty Gear series) - How badass is a surname like Badguy? He has some pretty wicked hair too. Not to mention Schtolteheim looks plain weird.

7. Squall Leonhart (Final Fantasy VIII) - Iori just isn't my type of guy. I wanted a hair cut like Squall when I was younger too because he's pretty awesome.

8. Jin Kazama (Tekken series) - I think Wakka loses points for being annoying. Jin has pretty sweet muscles though, and if you can fight good then I'm going to like you that little bit more.

4. Sabin Figaro (Final Fantasy VI) - The image of Sabin I have in my head is a million times better than Riku. Without that image it would have been close though.

You may have to wear a wig and do some cosplaying if you ever want to see some action from either of these two but at least Rosa wears a decent outfit as opposed to Lucrecia and those "mad scientist" skits Vincent makes you do get more and more disturbing, especially when he want to use Limit Break forms... Kain wins.

6. Zero - Granted, Cid is a total badass with a great personality but he's kinda old and seems more interested in machines than love. Zero also has a love for machines... destroying them that is. Zero is definetly prettier and the underdog for this pairing.

7. Billy Lee Black - A gun toting priest with combo attacks like Skywalker? He pilots a giant robot with a cape and runs an orphanage on the side when he isn't spreading the lies of the Ethos Church and killing mutant monsters called Wels. What's not to like here. His religious background also gives him that wholesome feel so you can fantasize about deflowering his innocence.

8. Sonic The Hedgehog - Leon is the type to be too obsessed with work and taking down Umbrella Corp. to ever take notice of you. Sonic would definetly appreciate you and if you can get past the masochism from him being a Hedgehog, you could learn he's not a bad guy. Besides, I think Leon likes them young... :shifty:

3. Kyle Hyde (Hotel Dusk: Room 215) - Kyle has that "normal" feel to him. He's not some great hero that you'd never get to meet, which makes him more appealing to me. And Cecil is kinda girly-looking which isn't so good when you're a guy.

4. Dante (Devil May Cry series) - Dante is just awesome. I've only played DMC4 but his character, his speech, everything about him was cool.

1. Solid Snake - he's just a sexy and badass. Any man who can make mullets look respectable is a god among men.

2. Setzer Gabianni - He's got more personality and character with his designs and has much better mystique about him.

3. Georg Prime - Georg is just an awesome guy and he's a little less "in your face" than Sol is. He's also a total badass.

4. Squall Leonhart - Wakka has made it only this far out of brand recognition. Oddly enough I feel this pairing involves comparing the best of Nomura's character designs with his worst. Squall wins cause his design is nice and simple and not overly embellished as Wakka's.

Zanarkand Bracket

1. Auron - I just prefer the designs of older men. Auron is probably one of the few good designs in X.

2. Ken Masters - If he was against Edgar I would have voted for him but Ken is against the meat-head twin instead. Ken combines both of the twins graces so he wins.

3. Cid Highwind - Cid's hot for an older man. I don't like his post-FFVII look but his outfit in the original was actually one of the best designs in the game.

4. Yuri - I don't like either but I feel I should vote. Yuri cause I can't stand Leon.

That would explain the higher number of posts. There are more voters in this tournament, but a lot less discussion is going on. Interesting that a combination was desirable, since the winner of the corresponding female thread was about as feminine as you can get, physically. Perhaps this speaks to the notion that the double-X chromosome really does produce the more "desirable" form. :plotting:
