So it suddenly started pouring and thunderstorming and my little brother started freaking out because water started coming int our basement. My mom, instead of getting up to figure out how to fix it, just sat there on her computer on myspace, and said...something emo-related, i dunno -.o I heard the complaining and decided to go check it out...turns out that the drain cover was simply caked in mud and leaves and therefore wasn't allowing the drain outside the back door (which leads from the basement up a couple of stairs to the backyard) to work properly. I can't help but roll my eyes at the lack of my family's ability to simply fix things rather than just letting water flow into the house, which would have caused quite a bit of damage had i not intervened.
So, have any amusing/horrid stories relating to floods/your family's incompetence? Or maybe some stories of bravery? :o Please enlighten me!
