Compact vs Full Keyobard.

So as I decided to play FFXI again, I wanted to try full keyboard layout. Last time I played it, though brief it was, I had to use compact keyboard since I was using a laptop. To my disappointment the full keyboard layout seemed pretty cumbersome to me (maybe I am doing it wrong--if so please tell me, as n00b-ish as that sounds), I really don't care for the mouse moving the character either. :/

So which do you use: compact or full keyboard layout?

I think I had to use a compact keyboard with a few custom key settings.

I change freely between them both. I prefer the full keyboard layout for ease of typing messages without accidentally inputting hotkey commands.

Can't really use Full on a Laptop, so I'm using Compact. Works nice. :mog:

I went from full on my desktop to switching between compact and full on my laptop to just using compact.

Full. I hate compact, espcially during end-game events.

I originally bought the game thinking I'd play on my laptop but that didn't work, stupid video card. I've only ever played using the full setup. I don't know if I could deal any other way. And keyobard is the best typo ever, hands down. :choc2:

I didn't even know there was an alternative to the one which I can only assume is full, considering it uses the numpad etc.
