If you call Angelo 'cavity', then that paves the way for Cavity Search.
'Anal' also yields plenty of amusingly juvenile text.

For instance, in Noah Antwiler's (in)famous multi-part FFVIII review, he named Rinoa 'A whore' and Angelo 'Anal'.
"A whore's limit break uses Anal," says the tutorial...

Angel. Blame the French version for that. Also I rename Rinoa, Linoa. Again, French version. I think she was meant to be named after the "Lenore" in The Raven by Poe.

Incidentally, isn't Angelo meant to be a she? Angelo's a boy's name...

Given that I regularly name my leading female 'Angela', it was amusing to find the dog's name was 'Angelo'. In different play-throughs, I've named him Angelo, Jax and Rastus.

The fancy dialogue using nicknames for the characters would be to blame for that. Quisty, Sefie, Irvy and Cry Baby Ze-ell. If you could rename the characters that'd all become impossible.

Anything works, really. Especially if you're my friend. My friend Jordan named her Sh**ter. I've named her a few different things, mainly Kitty and Comet, but I've played the game waaaaaaaaaaayyyy too many times to remember them all!

It's fun if you name Shiva Herpes.
And Rinoa... well, anything insulting works.

Why is everyone calling Angelo a "him?" I'm pretty sure Rinoa refers to her as "she" or "girl" at some point in the game. I remember thinking she was a boy too because Angelo doesn't seem like a girl's name, and then she said that, but I can't remember when or where.

I used the same theme as naming my GFs, one time it was all RoLW names. But now I just go with defaults.

I always use the default names intended by the developers when I play through any video game. In one instance, I named the dog after my own dog because I was unsure what it affects, but I quickly regretted it.

Although I do have an australian shepherd now, which would add an extra layer of realism to an Angelo rename.
