View Full Version : Where's the magic?

TheAbominatrix

Hey, what happened to the magic around here? I hear it's gone, guys. Way to screw it up.

Never fear, I am here to fix everything! Acknowledge me and my act of being here, because it is awesome and perhaps the awesomest day that will ever happen.

Since I'm pretty sure that we still dont allow welcome back threads here, have this topic.

Have you ever run into someone from your past that you thought you'd never see again? What was it like? Was it horrible and did you wake up in a strange basement afterwards? Cause that's what happened to me...

Hey look! A grouchy oldbie! That's almost never happened!

My friend from primary school facebooked me recently. He got engaged and moved to Canada. O_O

Haha, I'm not really grouchy, I'm just doing that to torment Shlup. I'm actually less grouchy than before... xD

Canada is an awesome choice of moving to locale! I wish to relocate to Canada someday, if only to further piss off Shlup. I consider it a good career move.

This should be a thread about pissing off Shlup, IMHO. And I want to live in Canada too. :(

I can see only one course of action. Filter "Shlup" to "The Magic".

It happened just yesterday when I served someone I went to school with in Argos. Didn't recognise me at all. They weren't a close friend or anything, but it was a bit odd. Still, was four years ago!

I miss the days of old (2000-2003-ish) when things were bright and funky, when the likes of Citizen Bleys, Wyllius, Chaos, Mikztsu, Britt, Asorie and Cid (Sean) were here ... ah, the memories. The sweet, crotch smelling memories ...

Is this going to be one of those threads where the oldbies whine about the past, regulars nod along and try to redirect the conversation and newbies get so demoralized that they leave the forum forever?

Hey, TheAbominatrix! There's a member that haven't been around for a while. Welcome back! :)

Anyway, lots of blasts of the past have been had on Facebook. Finding out that people my age are getting pregnant and such is kinda freaky.

All that's left is to kick out some newbies. This thread should be about kicking out newbies, IMHO. ;)

Timekeeper
08-28-2009, 11:37 AM
Wait, I just redirected conversation and yet I'd still be called a newbie...
Does this make me some sort of Regular/Newbie hybrid?

Shlup
08-28-2009, 11:41 AM
The newbies have their own forum now. And they should stay there!

Shlup threatened to neck chop anyone who called it "the magic".

I didn't just threaten it, I declared it a rule. As soon as I saw this thread topic I got my hand in chopping-position, and now to see my bestie made the thread? I should just ban her.

In other news, I actually did see someone the night before last. BJ and I went to Wal Mart, and saw Crystal V*rgas (in case she Googles herself and finds this--that would be weird). We went to elementary school together, and then she and I were like the only ones from our elementary school to go to Raney junior high, so we were friends out of convenience until about the time I became friends with Abominatrix. Last time I saw her was senior year of high school and she was big-ass pregnant. I think she might have been again when I saw her the other night, or she got really fat.

I can't sleep, by the way. And BJ's snoring!

Hey, TheAbominatrix! There's a member that haven't been around for a while. Welcome back! :)

Thank you!

And I certainly hope there wont be any whining about the past, the main point of me saying all the magic stuff was to get Shlup good and riled up. She's so sexy when she's angry.

I would never ever want to demoralize just the newbs when I can demoralize everyone. Anybody got any childhood fears I can exploit?

Reminds me of meeting people from high school (the ones I don't care to associate). I have a bunch of friends from high school I do like. But the ones who are around my age....not as much.

About seven years ago, I went to a family reunion with my then-girlfriend and met one of her cousins. Then recently, about 3 months after I started my new job, this new guy started working there and I was like, "Man, he seems familiar." Turns out it was him! :greenie:

Wow, I love multiple quoteability. I really did miss this place. Woo, nostalgia.

And speaking of running into old friends; people I knew in high school keep coming into the store where I work, and it's always on the days where I was too tired/lazy/unmentionable to put on make up! Poop.

I was on a bus once and a girl from grade 8 -> end of high school was also on the bus. We recognized each other and made small talk. This was before my current incarnation so the content of discussion was not as extravagant. We however had fun and then she took a call and we said bye.

No biggie.

A few years ago a girl from that class (gr 8) got married. I never spoke to her after grade 12 or 13 so I wasn't too interested. Her mother and my parents know each other from unrelated community service (scout leadership).

Small world.

Sometimes I check my facebook groups and see what people I know look like. A lot of them haven't aged at all ;D

When Kagetsu finally harnessed Krystallopyr's true power to deliver the final strike against Arawn, the blade sucked the Andain dry of their natural magic and caused their deaths. After the resulting destruction of Arawn and the world at large, the magic was dispersed throughout the world and saturated its very lifeblood. A second use of the recovered Krystallopyr a thousand years later and the death of the gods Cardia and Mardük at the maw of the Godslayer eradicated and very well ended the phenomena of innate abilities and two main sources of the world's magic. However, many a god still exists in this world and even without their assistance, mages of all varieties still seem to have success with their talents and the reason for this achievement is not quite discernable, but this is still inequitable evidence of magic remaining at large. Its whereabouts may never be known unless a laborious search exhausts all avenues of explanation, but please remember, this is magic we are talking about.

Hey, good to see you! It's been, like, ages! :p

I actually did meet a person I never expected to meet again. She was an old school buddy of mine who began travelling after we graduated. When I was working this summer, guess who my first customer happened to be? That's right, it was her. It was nice to talk to her and hear what she'd been up to these past few years. :)

Hi hi! Good to see you too!

tGA is kinda... sexy... ooo.

I have another great story! I'm gonna share it! Here it is!

A few years back at work I had a customer that came in every weekend. A nice older gentleman and he would talk to me and we got along great! He was always telling me about his daughter... and then one day he brought his daughter in. Who else would it be but the girl I freaking torment all through junior high and high school. I had run into her before at community college and genuinely apologized for all the mean things I'd said and done to her... but I dont think that mattered to her dad, because he never came into the store again.

I deserve that >.<
