View Full Version : Psychic Warden?

I just did the prison stuff (my least favorite part of an otherwise brilliant game), and there's this part where the Warden appears to actually read Squall's mind.
I can't remember the words now, but he asks Squall what SeeD is, and Squall thinks to himself what SeeD is (it's in a transparent boarder which means it is Squall's thoughts) and then the Warden goes "Yeah, so?" - he read Squall's mind! Or is this a mistake (probably, because there isn't much point interogating someone if you're psychic :D).
Thoughts?

I'm thinking it was just a mistake I can't think why Square would give a psychic ability to a minor character that would be forgotten about.

It's just a joke, like breaking the fourth wall.

I suppose it could be either of those thanks guys.
I wondered if someone would chose the joke option :D I'm pleased one did.

While Squall is busy thinking he's not responding to the warden's question. The warden is eager to get an answer so says "Hm? Yeah, so!?" in an effort to encourage an answer out of Squall. That's my take on the exchange.

That sounds pretty plausable. Thanks.

The torturing device is a mind-reading machine.
Squall´s thoughts are read on the tv set.

I'd say it was nothing more than a mistake on the part of Square. I also didn't like the Prison part of FFVIII there was something very boring or long winded about it!

Gah... even the prison brings back fond memories of this game. I reminisce to much about VIII. The prison warden was probably just babbling.

That could actually work, concidering the nature of the FFVIII world.

I think if he could read his mind, he'd catch the part where he's like "I gotta lie, quick, think of something!"

If one entity can read and gather information of another entity, then it's possible that there's an existence of a different type of entity that has the same ability.

This is probably the most likely answer.

Holy snaps, I almost fell off my chair reading FE's post.
Warden=Ultimecia.
This, really, is the only reasonable explanation for this I've seen so far. :redface:

Warden=Ultimecia.
lmao ... :glare:
It's either a mistake which Square is known for doing e.g. "This guy are sick" and "Off course" or it's what TheSpoonyBard said.

The warden is playing FF VIII in his room I assume, so he will know what will happen next. :bigsmile:
