A'yo I went to PAX in Seattle yesturday, which was SO badass, and I came up with this great idea. I put my FF Dissidia game in Sleep Mode and left it like that the entire time I was at Pax hoping that someone else had the some idea. When I got home, I had like 12 friend cards. Hell yeah it worked!

So, do you guys walk around with your game on Sleep Mode? Why or why not?

I would, but I'm the only one in my Uni that has Dissidia (at least were I tend to hang around, maybe I'll go on Saturday to a geek-infested place, and see how it works out).

I just did this trick at my anime convention and lucked out when it seemed like everyone had the game. I've actually acquired quite a few cards which is nice considering I never put much effort into Wi-Fi/Online aspects of games.

I've never really tried it since I already have my friends' Friend Cards and they're the only ones I know who even play this game. Guess it couldn't hurt to try it next time I'm wandering around but I doubt many other people around my area even have the game lol.

Yeah, same here...

And... haha, Black Orb, to night I dreamed about playing Dissidia D: ...And Lucy from Elfen Lied was a playable character xD... That was weird, but yeah, that's another story...

It's not a terrible idea, but it would work better if the PSP had a battery life longer than the time it takes to boil an egg. If I'm going to be out walking around with my PSP running low on power again, I'd rather just be playing Dissidia.

I'll be in a geek infested area tomorrow, I'll give it a try and see what happens :).

This aspect is the thing that sells me on the game completely ~ and yet I never seem to be able to find other people in the street.

Maybe I need to head up to Heathrow and just hang out one day? (^__^);

I would go to places that guarantee a high concentration of FF nerds. Anime conventions and clubs worked for me.

I really wish the game had true online capabilities cause I would love to battle against a few other EoFFers.

I've yet to physically come into contact with anyone else who plays Dissidia, but my PSP is in Sleep Mode all the time anyway (I don't like turning it off) so maybe one of these days, I'll get something. =]

Maybe I'll stop off at the anime society at uni some time this week.

You and me both. That - and a lack of downloadable extras - are two big problems with the game, IMHO.

I don't know anyone who has the game or even anyone who would consider buying it. The games around me are all into Call of Duty, none of them like Final Fantasy....how do you even put it into sleep mode?

I understand - over here as well there seems to be a lot more focus on FPSes (is that the plural FPS?) and games like GTA - that's if the PSP actually registers at all. A lot of people seem to have completely given up on the platform.

As for sleep mode, just go to Communications Mode in the menu and then down to Friend Card Receive.

Yes indeed. It makes me very jealous that I don't have a PS3!!
