Sometimes I feel like the only one who still uses this section in the back of the manual. I jot down little tidbits of information about stuff for if I go through other plays and stuff. Like where out of the way boxes are and what drops rare crap. I know with like GameFAQs and other sites right there its easier to look it up, but I still like using the thing.

So does anyone else?

I stopped using them when games stopped using passwords.

I don't use them but I really like that they're still there in some cases. I would like to use them more, but I guess I really don't need to.

>>> Never use them, I sell the games after I get bored of them so is better if I leave the manual intact..

One of my proudest glories was the page my brother had bequeathed to me with epic Simon's Quest passwords.

The manual of my used copy of Metal Gear Solid has one note written: "Secret Code = Comodo Dragon.

"Stealth

"Camera"

I wish I could have told this person when it was still relevant that you unlock the camera just by beating the game once, and the stealth camouflage just by taking the Otacon route during the torture sequence. "Comodo Dragon," aside from being misspelled, isn't a code at all; it's a ranked codename (http://muni_shinobu.webs.com/mgs/codename.html) based on your performance.

In other words, I have a manual with some yahoo's handwriting in it, and for nothing.

I just memorize where everything is so never needed this section, but I guess if my memory wasn't so good I might use it. It's extremely rare for me to trade in a game so I don't worry about the trade-in value.

I used to put cheats, passwords and the like in the back of manuals now just save them in files on my laptop!
