This thread is devoted to songs whose lyrics are in danger of disappearing from the world. Perhaps with our combined efforts, we can save the musical synapse fires of our generation.

behind me in the mirror
i saw the most fantastic explosion
a momentary being constructed from the light
and changing with my movements side to side
this imaginary creature made a flutter and a snap
the crinkle of the plastic it passed by
i widened my eyes and gasped in my temporary surprise
and tiptoed safely to the side
only to discover a disguise
only to discover a disguise
the flapping wings and the ultra-white shine
were not alive
were not alive
were not alive
the photo was a flicker, a chemical release
or neurons fired in my mind
it was not the biggest moth that i ever had seen
but rather a trick
the mirror played on my eye
all things
are somatic
all things
are automatic
like blemishes on the moon
like exit signs in darkened rooms
like cancer paths in quiet tombs
and sad songs with happy tunes
part of a supernova
one hundred floors below us
made up and then covered up.

On a hillside blessed by songs of hope
and a fire that bleached our souls

reminisced about the past

brings defect and conflicts of spirit
