The Diamond Edition DVD of Snow White will be released next week! Did any of you buy the Platinum Edition when it was released in 2001 or whenever? =O

Monda, if you just don't like money, I would be glad to take it from you.

The high-definition remastering of these old Disney films is pretty significant, since many of them represent some of the greatest heights of filmic animation. I don't think Snow White is half the visual marvel of, say, Pinnochio or Sleeping Beauty, but I'm sure it'll be nice to find every detail and color clear and newly unmarred by the ages.

If you like Snow White, that is, and don't find it to be lame and boring.

I didn't buy the original Platinum Edition, so I'll definitely get this one. They're including quite a few new extras on the new version so I can see die-hard fans double-dipping to get a look at those. :D

I just wish that Disney could give extensive DVD/Blu-Ray treatements to all the films in its animated canon and not just its biggest hits.

It would take Disney nearly fifty years to devise a hat as cool as Gruffi's, though. :gruffi:
