It's really uncommon to find an album where you like every single song on it, and have for years. Name them.

The only one I can think of is Transatlanticism by Death Cab. I'd possibly add Deja Entendu by Brand New.

It's odd, since there are artists with songs I like more than Brand New, but that album is so consistently fantastic, to me at least.

Tonight - Franz Ferdinand
Seizures - Kisschasy

Both of them must be listened to in order though. Individually, some of the songs lose their touch.

EDIT: Neither of them are old though. Does that detract somewhat? :(

AFI - December Underground

Seether - Disclaimer II

They're the ones that spring to mind at the moment anyway!

You are so right, Rye. Even your favorite artist might have some crappy songs on an album.

*checks iTunes*

Ah, here we go.

Rhythm Nation 1814 - Janet Jackson
Hard Candy - Madonna
Tomorrow Starts Today - Mobile

TheAbominatrix
10-17-2009, 06:13 PM
The Beatles - Abbey Road, Sgt Pepper, Let it Be, Revolver, Rubber Soul, AND the White Album. All completely amazing all the way through.

The Grateful Dead - American Beauty

Big Brother and the Holding Company - Self titled

Daft Punk - Discovery

I could go on and on... I feel a lot of older artists put more work into their albums, and there was less of a drive to mass produce garbage (though it definitely still existed. Eat my butt, Monkees). Also, back before cassette tapes, CDs, and mp3s, one had to actually get up and hustle over to the record player to lift the needle and change the song... too much work, so they gave us great music xD

It's hard to say. As time goes on and I listen to them over and over, I forget that I used to not like some songs.

I guess I'd just have to say any album I've heard all the way through/owned

Two lists, this one is albums I think I liked all the way through the first time

Indochine - Alice et June
Radiohead - The Bends
Muse - Black Holes and Revelations (actually every song on this is rated 4 stars or higher in itunes xD)
The Black Mages - THE BLACK MAGES
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Kansas - Point of Know Return
HIM - Razorblade Romance
Pink Floyd - Saucerful of Secrets
AFI - Sing the Sorrow
Alan Parson's Project - Tales of Mystery and Imagination
Coldplay - Viva La Vida, or Death and All His Friends
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

Second list is albums I've listened to so many times I love them all in honor of nostalgia

Aqua - Aquarium
Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way
Golden Earring - The Continuing Story of Radar Love
Eiffel 65 - Europop
Bat For Lashes - Fur and Gold
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
Weezer - Make Believe
Radiohead - OK Computer
Jewel - Pieces of You
Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn
Coldplay - Rush of Blood to the Head
The Killers - Sam's Town
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane
System of a Down - System of a Down
System of a Down - Toxicity
Jupiter Sunrise - Under a Killer Blue Sky
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Coldplay - X&Y
Elliott Smith - XO

that's not to say I didn't like the majority of the second list when I first listened, it's just that now I like all of the songs on those albums now :)

Boom Boom Satellites:
7 Ignitions
Fogbound
Full of Elevating Pleasures
Out Loud
Umbra
Photon

There's one song in Exposed and two in On that were kinda meh. Not bad, they just don't do anything for me. So I can almost just say every album ever.

And I think there was like one Incubus song that I wasn't totally in love with, but other than that I like all of their albums.

It'd take me ages to make a comprehensive list, but the first one that sprang to mind is Blood on the Tracks by Bob Dylan.

I'll second tonight from Franz Ferdinand. I love that band so much. Bite Hard is my favorite track off that album.

Though here's a list for you people.

3. Michelle Branch - Hotel Paper and Spirit Room
4. Evanesence - Fallen
5. Kamelot - Ghost Opera
6. Leet Street Boys - Self Titled
7. Rob Thomas - Something to Be.

I think that's about it, unless I can include some greatest hits albums to the list. :p

Win win win win win.

edit: And is liking entire albums like, a rare thing for some people or something? If I like an artist enough to download their entire album then usually I like the whole thing. Hell, I can't even THINK of a Kate Bush song I don't like (except Ken, which doesn't count) ... same goes for Bjork and Blonde Redhead (and Marilyn Manson before GAoG).

Common - Resurrection
Daft Punk - Discovery
Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile (in b4 flames)

A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory

Dark Side of the Moon would be on the list, if only On the Run wasn't on there.

Neil Young - After the Gold Rush
Nick Drake - Pink Moontack these two onto my list as well. They're both classics.

Just off the top of my head:

Abe Vigoda - Skeleton
Penguin Café Orchestra - Broadcasting From Home (most of their albums, actually, they're all great)
Ramata Diakite - Na
Prince Nifty - A Sparrow! A Sparrow!
Múm - Yesterday Was Dramatic - Today is OK
SS Cardiacs - Fear the Love
Panda Bear - Person Pitch
Japanther - Wolfenswan
Dirty Projectors - Rise Above
J Dilla - Donuts
XBXRX - Sixth in Sixes

And what has already been mentioned in this thread: London Calling, Discovery, Vespertine (yes!!), Madvillainy, Ys (Milk-Eyed Mender more so, but everything she does is magic). There are a lot more than I initially thought, and now I have a feeling I'm missing a lot.
