<a href="http://www.thecherryblossoms.com/">The Cherry Blossoms</a> - <a href="http://www.thecherryblossoms.com/music/">The Cherry Blossoms</a>

A collection of quirky and whimsical songs that consistently display mastery over the disorderly, performed with a glowing confidence. Highly recommended.

The Dear Hunter - Act II: The Meaning Of, And All Things Regarding Ms. Leading

The Dear Hunter is such an interesting group. Casey, the only consistent member, blends so many styles of music to tell the story of the protagonist without ever seeming too out there or pretentious. There's moments, of course, but on the whole, it's one of the most cohesive and well-structured albums I've listened to in a long while. The sonic textures go really well with the lyrics and really transport you to the world of the story. And some of the songs, well, I have trouble not wanting to dance to them, because they're so upbeat and catchy.

It's a wonderful album, and I can't wait to hear more from TDH.

They gave fans a sneak preview of the entire Act III, it's absolutely amazing.

and yeah, you're absolutely correct about Act II.

The Fall of Troy - In the Unlikely Event

Their new cd, and probably my least favorite. It's still not bad at all though. The Vocals aren't quite as good as the others, but the music is around the same range as the previous cd's

probably around 3/5 stars

Tegan and Sara - Sainthood. Sounds different, but not bad. Some songs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7NhOe-SFsE)are really great (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsmrlJX2gIA&feature=related), especially Sara's songs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-igOPiWkqLc), but others are rather bad (ie. Paperback Head (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcET_9fyNjQ)). The Con, If It Was You, and So Jealous are better. 7.5/10

The Weepies - Hideaway. Sounds more produced than Say I Am You, and the sound is a lot more cohesive. The more upbeat stuff like Hideaway (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIn37vzO-6g) is okay, but the slower, more folky stuff is better. How You Survived the War, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOWF3PA1I7Y) Old Coyote, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTCG7k6XK7U) Just Blue, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0i8a1ckGNpo) and Orbiting (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXQeXeO1S4U) are the best songs, imho~~ Lol Naruto + folk pop. 9/10 ... just because Say I Am You and Happiness were better records.

<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devendra_Banhart">Devendra Banhart</a> - <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_Will_We_Be">What Will We Be</a>

A bit of a disappointment after so much anticipation. Individually the songs are all pretty good, but overall the record lacks the variety and weird originality that I've come to expect from Devendra.
