Outside of obvious entries like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Fatal Frame. I also feel some great Halloween games are Okage, Vagrant Story, and Grim Fandago (though I haven't played this one)

Grim Fandango is just plain fun. Awesome comments and dialogues. I should replay it once and actually finish it. I remember I stopped playing because I got stuck and was too stubborn to FAQ things up.

It doesn't have to be Halloween for me to enjoy a good horror game. I play these kinds of games all the time

Gregory Horror Show
Haunting Ground
Clock Tower
Trapt
Obscure

I guess you could say I enjoy being chased around the screen.

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence lets you play as a trick-or-treating imp named Pumpkin, who has a Jack-o'-lantern head and pumpkin-based sub-weapon attacks. Unfortunately, it's not a very good game.

MegaTen: Imagine, they have a No Death Penelty today. I grabbed a few people off the street and we had like the worst run ever in Sugi Silver History just awhile ago. Also there were fireworks and a big party in Babel a few hours ago. Also it is MegaTen so demons and crap are roaming around.

I just got Dead Space, and it's proven to be a fantastic Halloween game.

Demon's Souls, they even made the game harder for Halloween :)

I will also suggest the Persona series as well as Shin Megami Tensei III

Nothing starts a game quite like watching the world end 30 minutes into the game. On the bright side, you don't have to worry about saving it anymore cause its already boned. :jess: On the other hand, dealing with demons who want to eat you and suck out your life force to summon their Reason is not how I wish to live day by day. :(

I hear Ju-On: The Grudge is a good game to play on Halloween. It's considered a Haunted House Experience for a reason.

Shadow Hearts or Koudlelka have a certain creepy quality and are fantastic games. Shadow Hearts 2 and 3 are more silly then creepy, but the first one is a classic.

The Halloween Festivities and Quests on Guild Wars Halloween are always fantastic... I love Mad King Thorn and his unpredictable personality.

Oh my god, is that Zombies Ate My Neighbors? I loved that game as a kid.
